We met a couple who had them done 5 months prior and still were healing and tender. I would say that would be way to close.

artytime:yes the armpit method is great, but you need a really skilled doc. so as they can get them really even, proper cleavage, same highth ect. as it is a trickier way to do them.
I'd say if your wife wants her boobs done, then she shouldn't hurry the process just for TTR. Her confidence will be boosted by being at TTR by about 99% anyway, so maybe wait for surgery until you get back, then show off the newbies on next trip!?
