rdubnpk After several days of wind out of the south, our worst fears are, it seems, about to be realized. The oil spill is expected to hit Santa Rosa county, the county to the west of ours, over the weekend. They anticipate putting out booms to contain the surface oil, but nothing can be done to prevent the oil below the surface from entering inland waterways. I have tried to maintain an optimistic attitude about all this, but hope is fading fast. I can't imagine what our sugar white beaches and the wildlife both above and under the sea are going to face. I have never been so mad at any company as I am BP. They deserve to go bankrupt and I hope they do. And, once again, the oversight that was supposed to be provided by our government, was non-existent.
This is terrible... I can't find the words to describe my feelings right now. This is horrible and I think the worst of it is feeling helpless to do anything...
