Cab fares are negotiable cool-j......agree with the driver prior to the journey, and have change on you, if you agree to 15$ for a journey, but only have a 20$ dollar bill, be assured the driver will not have 5$ change for you......they are all in competition with each other..barter mate!
AND this is why we now wear silicon rings. Rich lost 2 at the beach and a pool. We leave the good stuff at home when we are going to be in the water a lot.
I have nothing to add to your original question as this fine group of folks has done a wonderful job and we pretty much just stay in the sexy pool the entire time we are there. I just wanted to chime in to compliment your username. You done messed up A-A-Ron!!
As stated above, another bit of advice I always give is LEAVE YOUR WEDDING RINGS in your SAFE!!! I can't stress this more. I have seen more people lose rings than anything else. Many rings have been forfeited to the Mexican Beach & Ocean Gods!!!
Almost forgot..and how could we, in 2011 we met a Mexican couple, Marco and Vianey, lovely people, they were on their honeymoon at TTR , and whom invited us to join them for the day at xcaret theme park, it was a wonderful experience, little did we know it was Mexican independence day, which truly made for an emotional day trip, given we were there with Mexican friends, we left the resort at 10am and never returned until 11pm, xcaret is a theme park which includes a little of everything, culminating in a show which takes place either in the Mayan "ball court" if the weather is nice, or a beautiful underground amphitheatre if the weather is inclement.....allow yourself a full day, if experiencing this particular excursion.
All great advice! Thanks. Coco Bongos and the boob cruise are at the top of our list of things to do. Hopefully we can find a few people who want to catch a bus and go shopping as well.
One bit of advice that we do on every trip.... Walk out of the hotel, cross the street and walk left about 300ft. Just past the Esso convenient store there is a local eatery that serves hand made quesadillas, enchiladas etc. Basically everything you order there is $1. Also, their sour cream is a little different, we usually pick up a small sour cream at the Esso, also $1, Well worth the trip and time. We are hoping it is still there with all that has been going on. We will certainly be stopping there during our Halloween trip. Paul & Lisa
We just went with tattoo'd initials! Unless someone removes our finger we will be sure no to lose them! I lost my college ring (yes real big and 14k) some years ago while snorkeling. Freakin' ocean just sucked it off my finger...in real slooooow moootion and I could not grag it as it tumbled into the ocean floor never to be seen by me again
