I know that this is really bad for the already hurting economy, but don't you think that you are in a bit of denial?
I am going to get my doctor to prescribe Tamiflu or Relenza. We will take as a precautionary measure. We will wear mask for the fun of it. I think that it is a threat but it is also a media blitz. It will all pass soon because the media has scared everyone. Oh, I should not be telling everyone this. You guys don't travel for the next few weeks to cut down on the transfer of the disease before I get there.
Vegas - I'm the first critic of Cancun having an economy based almost solely on tourism. In fact I'm getting sick of people saying "poor Mexico," Mexico needs to address its problems and diversify its economy. I don't think I'm in "denial" I'm just confounded that the Swine Flu appears to be leaving Cancun but hasn't been found here yet? Are the doctors and labs here really so pathetic that they can't ID Swine Flu? Or is something else going on?

As far as Cancun? a lot of people getting sick when back from Cancun (some with flights not going thru Mex City), but all clear in Cancun, according to officials.
Everyone at my work is FREAKING out..my trip isnt til the end of June and everyone thinks im nuts for not changing my plans..Should I be concerned?
You both have time. How about finding out how late you can cancel, and then just wait.... The situation will hopefully work itself out by then.
