We've used a 3rd party site for all of our 15+ trips and never had a problem. I'm sure they occur occasionally though.

I understand that many of the 3rd party sites buy blocks of rooms. If so, it wouldnt make sense that they would all sell out at the same time. I know Expedia still had rooms for about three weeks after the hotel sold out.

Not going to be there with you guys but have a general question... Do you guys know how far in advance you can typically book rooms? We have usually booked 1-4 months in advance our previous trips. Just curious for next year dates
It really depends on when you want to visit. For big groups like H&H and April Addicts (not meant to be an all inclusive list) very early is best to be sure you can get the dates or room type you Desire. (no not really Desire...damn big brother autocorrect) We book almost a year in advance to be sure...yes Rayanne is anal and always in it. Other times of year the 1-4 months, even days for last minute trips are most likely fine...especially for the slow months like July-August. Of course the holidays, like 4th of July are a bit busier.
So next year when is the h&h group planning since Halloween is on the Saturday? We missed this year which really sucks.
