dry run... ...we R doin' a "dry-run" packing this wknd (full week "+" early just so we can see how all of Carries theme stuff will fit in 2 carry-ons, her purse & my laptop bag. This way we'll know exactly what we're getting into next wknd & I (Jim) will know ahead of time exactly what I'm leaving behind to make room for those C.F.M.-Pumps and the "would U effin look at that" Red Dress... ...all soooo worth it!
I can't get Darin to try his kilt on for me, not fair because I tried all my suits (bottoms) and my school girl uniform, white night dress, Lingerie, and red night dress for him! Maybe I'll just pack the hat that came with his kilt and that's all he'll get to wear!
Just be glad he's willing to dress up at the resort. Some men won't participate in theme nights. You're lucky yours will! Just got out of the attic (left a trail of breadcrumbs as I went in). No nurses cap. I guess I left it at TTR last trip. So off I go to the costume shop tomorrow to try to buy just a cap. If I wasn't so busy I would just make one. Oh well, at least I will have one for the 2nd 9-1-1 night, thanks to Kelly. xo
In preparation for my packing I have a question. How often does someone change later into the theme night out of their theme wear? Just trying to not over pack but I want enough to cover my nights
Depends how comfortable you are in your theme wear, Tiff. I leave mine all all night, but if you have a costume that is hot or uncomfortable (or the shoes you are bringing for it are uncomfortable), you may want to change out of it. Some people will change after the Lingerie Night at Nice Shoes, but many will leave their Lingerie on all night at Paty-O's. After all, the dresses we ladies bring to TTR sometimes cover less than our Lingerie! For almost all the theme nights, you will want to wear street wear to dinner beforehand unless you plan to eat only in the buffet where there is no dress code, so you'll be packing an alternative outfit for each night anyway.
Where does everyone carry their room keys, money, etc in these skimpy outfits? I hate to carry a purse and on some of the theme nights Ken will be wearing a little as I am.
I carry a little clutch that is rectangular and the size of the long style of wallet, just big enough for lipstick, tip money and room key. There's really no way around it on nights when your hubby doesn't have pockets.
