I never want to leave the resort (other that the Boobs Cruise) but would love to just have an hour of wifi a day - that's what I was looking for.
If you have an Ipad you can pre-pay for 3G data and use that. That's what we r doing. I had to buy a domestic plan and add on the international plan it cost me bout $45. It included 250 MB of domestic data and 350 mb of international data, that should be enough to read and answer e-mails and text the kids.
Yes... sorry I went in a different direction on the thread. I was responding to sarhalee and his quest to find a place to chill for a couple of hours while his wife got ready for the evening. Wish I could help with the free wifi hookup...... as I would definitely take advantage of that as well. The last couple of trips I just paid for the wifi for the week. I need it for work, so really have no choice.

Just need to Touch base with Kiddies and such, plus We enjoy going to Local watering holes and meeting the people and such Update: Boo just read further down the thread that it closed down... Oh well... Well I still plan on finding a bar close by to get out of the Heterotopia (Heterotopia is a concept in human geography elaborated by philosopher Michel Foucault to describe places and spaces that function in non-hegemonic conditions. If anyone takes a day trip to Isla Mujeres, Jax is a bar near North Beach that has free wifi as well as good food. It's a big place right on at the end of the main street that runs thru town, you can't miss it.
Sorry for misleading evryone. We were just there having a beer on Feb 26. Who knew? Had no idea that was our last beer ever at the Pirate Bar.
