I've thought about that too. I just figure we will push the limit until they tell us to stop. Where its private the rules might be a little different. I honestly don't know though. Nikki
Temptation management would be wise to let the group set the limits. Several of us can attest to the customer service at Pearl. This will be my first time to TTR but my third trip to Cancun in 12 months. If TTR wants our money they will need to draw us away from other resorts.
Good point! The problem is that you can stop people from entering the cigar lounge, but it is not completely private because it is outside, and if I'm not mistaken, the activity can be seen from rooms above. Therefore, they have to enforce the rules.
Our first year at TTR a group of over 100 swingers from Ohio booked the cigar lounge for the whole week and I am sure it got pretty crazy in there. Melissa
No hard feelings. I sincerely apologize for causing stress and hope u decide to still join us. We could bring a toy for you. We have been getting crazy good coupons from the place we got ours. Let us know. We actually preferred option B (discussed on the group) as everyone bring a bottle and contribute $10 towards the purchase of mixers and prizes. But the group discussed and decided the hassle was not worth the benefit. Then we discussed using a room, and quickly figured 56 people or more can't fit in a room. Then we discussed using nice shoes and the negatives of the musky smell, dirty environment and more randoms interrupting or watching shot down that idea. Several made the point that last year there were a lot of randoms at the cigar lounge that may of put the cold water on the fun. We r not exhibitionists regardless but I get the point made. With people just watching it decreases the likelihood of people pushing the limit with a demo or whatever. We also discussed dividing up into smaller groups but most agreed that was taking away from the goal of having a great party with everyone together. Then we discussed in depth about how we didn't feel like $20 each person was fair. We pushed with the hotel but they didn't budge. We decided we would only consider using the hotel and paying if they would agree to 3 hours and have a guard to keep it more controlled and private. I don't know if the privacy will result in more 'fun' but I know it will avoid a repeat of last year where the resort tried to charge me am extra $360 for the extra people that just wandered in. That was a huge buzz kill on the party for me last year, that's for sure. People have that same logic...why should I pay and believe they should be able to get everything for free. Fine to believe that but sadly it isn't the reality. So when the resort agreed to 3 hours, the guard and supplying a speaker (my personal request as the portable speaker we had last year wasn't great and at Desire pearl the resort gave us an amazing speaker from the dj) the group overwhelming said lets do it. Are we happy about TTR gouging us? No. Have we come up with a better option? Not yet. But I think we all are open to suggestions. The goal remains to have a kick ass party that we all will enjoy. Really hope whatever we do it involves u two!
So hopefully the above post caught everyone up on what was discussed in the yahoo group. If I left anything out then please feel free to add / correct. On the privacy point, yeah not sure how the resort will react if things get a little crazy. Last year it didn't so who knows. I wouldn't be surprised either way. I know on the yahoo group several people made the point that privacy is important to encourage demos. As said above it is probably best to not have expectations and then anything is a bonus. From our perspective I just wanted the guard to prevent randoms that wouldn't pay and then the resort would try to get me to pay. Wasn't really a privacy concern.
Just a thought/reminder to those participating in the toy exchange. I'm sure the recipient of the toy you bring would be very appreciative if you included the proper batteries in the package. Just in case they want to try it out Nikki
pool temp Have never been to CUN in October. Does anyone know if the TTR pool is warm enough then? Thanks..
