I should share the latest Temptation response regarding the cigar bar rental for the toy party too. Very frustrating. FYI, there is reason to believe they are reading this thread so certain comments may adversely effect negotiation power Will send some PMs eventually to those who said they were in on the toy exchange so we can decide what to do once the various options are worked out... cigar bar with bar at better price, cigar bar without bar, room, sports bar/nice shoes, other. I’m respectfully informing you that according to the Head of our Accounting Department, the prices are fair and established, due to the increasing cost from suppliers unfortunately is not possible to reduce the offered prices Cost per person (includes food and beverages) $35 USD Cost per person (includes only beverages) $20 USD Our Food and beverages Manager Mr. Pedro Chontal, will be waiting for your confirmation in order to set up all the arrangements for your private event. And my response... Last time we did this last October the price was $10 a person. And random people which we did not invite wandered in. Then the resort charged me for extra people that I didn't invite. For that reason I request a fixed flat rate instead of a per person price. Can you provide a flat rate? I don't understand the point about increasing cost from suppliers. We are either drinking the same alcohol at the nice shoes / sports bar or drinking the same alcohol at this event. Are you saying we will be getting something different? Better brands of alcohol? Please explain what would be different that would result in increased cost from suppliers. I understand the staff and setup charge which would not be based on the number of people which is why I request a flat fee and offered $400 USD. Please explain the supplier cost increase when we are drinking the same alcohol. Also, if there is no flexibility on switching from a per person rate to a fixed flat fee then will you provide security at the doors so only invited guests may attend? I do not want a repeat of you charging me extra for your hotel guests which we have not invited. If we can not find a compromise then we will just do it in the sports bar area or offsite. Disappointing that we can't find an option that works for everyone. I look forward to your response. And their response... Unfortunately we can’t offer you better prices per person, we again talk to Food and beverages Manager Mr. Pedro Chontal, and the price is the cost to host your private event. Prices are per person. The brands of alcohol will be the same we offer you at the bars. Suppliers are alcohol, place and bartenders if you want to have this private event. Yes, we are greedy, we like money and we want you to give us mucho money for basically nothing. ***Disclaimer. I may of added the last sentence...'Yes, we are greedy...'
$20 per person isn't exactly a ton of cash we can all afford it, but I think we need to look at other options just out of principle. This is a perfect example of where the hotel could easily improve, kind of drives me nuts they nickle and dime their most loyal customers.... I vote we just do it in the open in PatyO. 1/2 the resort will probably be there anyways lol. Bar is right there if you did it in the afternoon.
Kyle Here would be reply. If you want to charge us $20 per person fine. Then TTR should be responsible for charging guests not you. If they are going to be greedy let them bear the risk of collection. That way we can all just have fun and make them responsible to take attendance and charge peoples rooms Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
We hope you are back to your super-posting self soon!!! It's not the same without you leading the charge! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Kyle, did they give any indication of how long we could have the lounge? Last year it was a short time. If we a pay for it then we should Have it as long as we need. We are going to have close to 50 couples in the exchange now that Frank and the Rocktober group are joining in. An hour or two will not be enough!
That would be awesome and only $160.00 more per couple, really not that bad when you consider we get nothing for $40.00 a couple at TTR.
