Our backyard looks very similar. Have a lot of mature oak trees and palm trees that give us a good amount of shade. Digging your tiki bar and thinking that would be a very nice addition to our deck.

I built the Tiki bar myself...this is like the fourth or fifth I have done. We just rebuilt the decks and re did the tiki last month...we took the deck right to edge of water, which it wasn't before. The real key is sizing the bar properly for body shots, lol

 

What an awesome set up guys...................we would love somrthing similar but unless we decide to take up iceskating it would be a little pointless in the U.K.:flaguk:

 

We would be the same. You can use it for 4 weeks in the summer....maybe.

 

Yeah, we get spoiled in FL...we can swim 8 months out of year without pool heater, and year round with...but hey, we have to travel a day to ski in winter, or get a real pint in England

 

What kind of bribe could I offer up that would make you willing to drive 6 hours North to help me build one of those? We just replaced the bad boards on our deck and are having it painted next week. Ours does not go all the way to the edge of the pool, but April would prefer that it did.

That all looks fun but that would be brutal here in Texas. We love our cool deck. Great on a day like today when it is sitting around 104.

 

Trying to figure out how to upload a picture direct to the thread. Jen said she would do it for me. It is easy to upload from phone to the photo albums on here. Too bad posting to the threads are not so easy.

 

For starters, it's only 4.5 hrs to atlantic beach, just did it last week.
Send me photos of ur backyard, and we can start working on design...must have topless sunbathers in all photos, of course!

 

You were here and didn't call April & I? We have been kid free for the last week too so we could have gotten out and partied with you. April & I were just talking about getting together with the two of you. It is crazy that we live so close, but only get together one time a year at TTR!
