We have never been in October is the whether still hot? We have always gone in June and once in sept.

 

We were there the third week in October last year, and it was still really hot. The first week when we will be there this year should be even hotter. Longer days too.

Last early October it was really hot. Significantly above normal if I recall correctly. Some people thought too hot but we like it hot and loved it.

The advantage of early October is that the sun still stays up later in the afternoon. Also the clocks role back later in October so it is good to go prior to the time change. The risk of course with October or September or August or July are hurricanes. Since it is always cheaper we use the money saved to get trip insurance just in case. This year we got a really good deal thru cheap tickets and I didn't recall seeing an insurance option so we will likely buy it separately just to be sure we are covered. We save 100's in October compared to our May trips so it is worth investing 100something.

 

I need everyones help. My wife is not sure about doing Lingerie night as thats the day we arrive. The last time she did go and we had a blast but it was our 5th day and she was feeling comfortable. This time being our first night and we aren't going with friends she is not to sure. I told her we should jump right into it. Any one with advice for me to convince her. Thanks

 

It will be our first night too. Tell her to bring the Lingerie just encase and I'm sure her and Di can be each others support

 

This will be our 5th time going during the first weekend of October. So far, always nice and hot.

 

We are in Fort Worth and last year the weather was about same as home. Just higher humidity. What part of Texas are you from?

 

We arrive the morning of the 2nd so we will be there all day. Seek us out when you arrive as we will help her and others needing a gentle nudge, get comfortable quickly. This is our 5th trip to TTR and never waist valuable vacation time getting comfortable. We get the party started as soon as we cross the TTR threshold. April is awfully persuasive as well so count on Lingerie night as we never leave anyone behind, especially a sexy woman .
