Hi! We are Week 8'ers. We just had our 7th trip to BBG/TTR last month. We are planning a late September/early October trip to TTR because once a year just is not enough and five times to Vegas is too many! As for shopping for this Fall trip, I (her) will probably enjoy my purchases for Week 8 this summer on our boat at the Lake of the Ozarks. I probably will not purchase much in anticipation of this trip as my hubby bought more than enough suits that I could not even wear them all. BUT...if you have a theme night/nights that I do not have clothes for, I will have fun shopping for outfits as soon as I know the theme nights. I do not have a cute school girl outfit. My first and only one is very conservative (Amish-like). Hot dresses are rarely, if ever, worn in the Midwest so I have many that no one in October has ever seen. We are looking forward to this Fall trip!
I think we should start throwing random ideas out for theme nights! Build a couple months of ideas and put out the votes in julyish give us some time for the fun shopping!!!
I have started to look on line for some things, purchased a few things, however, I am primarily waiting to see what the themes are and then go nuts! I never have a problem shopping... Mike is constantly saying when are packages ever going to stop coming in the mail...I say never!!! I do have to agree with Tiff, I think we should start tossing some ideas out there and then go from there in July to make our final decisions for what they will be. Toy exchange is another great idea as well. A lot of great memories from that evening.
I will probably wait until the theme nights are decided to shop. Although, my collection of hooch-wear has grown quite extensive since we first made it to TTR. So, I will probably try to re-wear some things from the past and mix in with a few new things. If I would start to shop in the spring, I would buy WAY too much. And although I realize that none of my TTR outfits can be described as "WAY too much", I think we can all agree that too many clothes at TTR is never a good thing!
In other news, I am still working on Trav. We are vacationing with the kiddos the first week of June, so I hope that once we experience a family vacation with 2 kids, we will re-realize the importance of a couples' vacation at TTR.
I tried to book alpha rooms tonight and figure I will just modify later if I need to but I keep getting an error. Has anyone else had issues? I even used the link directly from steve.
LT and Jen had some but I reserved ours without any issues at all. I got in at $138 a night. We always do the cheapest room since we are only in it to sleep, have sex and get ready. With it being slower time of year we have always had a decent room.
