October 4th Airport Transfer

Anyone arriving October 4th interested in sharing a ride from the airport? We get in at 12:30 but don't mind waiting a little bit.

I was about to book with USA and saw that up to 7 people was $10 more than up to 3 so I thought I would check.

 

We just picked up our travel documents from the travel agent and she said that the hotel is totaly booked the weekend we are there, Oct 4-7th .....is this a good thing or bad thing? I dont want to get kicked to a different hotel.

 

I don't think it's worth worrying about until you get there. We've only been twice but it was full both times and from what I heard they ask for volunteers rather than dictate. I believe they make it worth your while to go to Desire if you want but I could be wrong, perhaps someone who's experienced this can help?

What time do you get in, I'd imagine the earlier the better maybe.

 

I just did a quick trip look up on Expedia as I was curious about a comment on it being half as much as Hedonism. Picked the Sept. 28 - Oct 5 dates we're booked on now and it still had availability. Maybe they only release so many to travel agents?

We're booked 10/2 to 10/9 through Funjet, mostly because it was the only non-stop out of St. Louis. When we booked like a month ago, our Jacuzzi room was not available for those dates with Expedia or Cheap Caribbean - only through the resort and Funjet......figure that one out! Last time in Cancun, we had a 7 hour delay in Cancun because of plane had mechanical problems. Before we left, we kept seeing these mechanics on the plane wing with monkey wrenches tightening bolts and stuff (no kidding). I think AeroMexico went belly up LOL

 

I believe the front desk can hold your bags, as they do when you check out before the shuttle comes. bring your pool stuff in a carry on and either buy sun screen at the gift shop or have it accessible in your luggage.

As for the toys, I'e heard horror stories of this happening so "good luck " lol

bah, we come from Canada and we're always there after check in as the husky dogs pulling the sled just aren't that fast lol

#2 Put them in a clear plastic bag in the bottom of your checked suitcase
