Kyle, I'm beyond excited about Pearl! Have to admit I'm a little horrified they're just now getting A/C in their lobby but the rest of it sounds divine. Love to hear that people
Dress up too! Btw tell Jen I love her pink night dress.

May i request you include more Pearl public area pics in the rest of the report? If ya have 'em.

Don't worry. It is nothing like Patty o's as it has some air flow and they may be done by your feb visit. Plus you really don't spend much time in the lobby. They have a small bar that is open 24x7 but the only time we were there was for a drink before dinner or right before the nightly show. The restaurants and disco/club are air conditioned.

Thanks for the compliment. Will share w Jen.

Re more pics...I have some others of the room in our albums. As for public grounds we would never bring the camera to the pool or beach as it is strongly discouraged (maybe even not allowed. Not sure). But with the nakedness people really respect privacy at pearl. I did take some pics of the jacuzzi area early in the morning before anyone was there. I will share those later. And I have some of the 'playroom', a small room off of the disco. Jen and I snuck in there before anyone arrived to take a couple pics of Jen swinging on the swing lol I think I can find some PG pics from there to share also. And last but not least there are some of our photo shoot around the grounds last May where maybe I can hide some 'goodies' and share to make them pg

Regarding the pictures, I wondered what the camera policy is and frankly am glad that no one is taking pictures in public areas. As much as people don't want to admit it, anyone can take a pic of anyone else at any time at TTR and you're better off just admitting that.

Ryan and I are thrilled that the nighttime dance club has A/C! PatyOs is tolerable w the fans in February but we'd both rather be somewhere with air conditioning while acting like fools and dancing our asses off.

Sincere apologies for those that remain interested that I left you hanging. Crazy holiday season. I wrote the rest of this weeks ago but didn't get to proofread/edit until now. The continuation...

    Wednesday oct 8th

One of the beauties of Pearl is the environment allows for you to enjoy your vacation on less of a schedule. You don't need restaurant reservations and you don't need to get up early for chairs. Breakfast runs until 11am. We wondered out of our room around 10am and found the pool attendant Jarrod. We tip him $20 for the visit and ask for the same chairs to be prepared for us each day. He sets them up in the morning with towels for us and we can get there whenever we feel like it. There are enough chairs for all so it is much more of a stress free environment. We like chairs on the busy end of the figure 8 shaped pool. With the back facing the beach partially and the restaurant grill area partially as that area gets a ton of sun and we noticed doesn't get full wind either on the windy days. Let's be clear though, busy by Pearl standards is nothing compared to TTR busy. It is a chill environment where they plan some events during the day like volleyball, pool volleyball, pool basketball, water polo, beer pong, sexy darts, corn hole, etc. So not really the spring break style partying like TTR. Both have their advantages.

So we got our chairs and hit the buffet. Note that the buffet is awesome at pearl for bfast. Everything is so fresh and replenished often. But if you prefer you can order from the menu or really anything you can think of. The staff to guest ratio really shows. Service is great at TTR but they are scrambling to serve everyone. At Pearl you get a lot of personal attention, I mentioned this on the pearl thread and got criticized for it but to us it was a positive. Our waiter would see us carrying multiple items from the buffet and run over and carry it for us. I know, a little extreme but they really try hard to give you personal attention is the point. A couple days I asked for crab eggs Benedict and they would make it for me, awesome fresh breakfast.

Since we are on the food subject I will jump to lunch. Most days they have a grill set up poolside right outside the restaurant. This trip they seemed to rotate the grill options. One day chicken and shrimp, another grouper, another filet or burger etc. So nice to not have to stop your fun in the sun and go inside. Every day we would just grab what they had at the grill and eat in our poolside chairs. I recalled loving chorizo from our last trip and requested it and they got some from the kitchen for us. They do what they can to ensure you are happy. Personal attention.

We spent the afternoon in the sun, playing beach volleyball and corn hole and enjoying drinks poolside. Another thing we like about pearl is there is plenty of staff working the pool so they are consistently checking to see if you need anything. We do wish the party was turned up more during the day. You won't see body shots or AIWC or anything like that at the main pool (sometimes you will see that at the jacuzzi). Typically we socialize a little to turn the party up but our friends from the Monday night fun were coming to visit tonight from ttr so we didn't do that as much. We had previously thought you couldn't visit pearl from ttr but here is how it works. There are no day passes or night passed. However, you can be invited by a hotel guest and pay a fee to visit. I believe it was $150 for the day staying until 6pm or $250 arriving at 6pm and staying until 2am. We have gotten to know a lot of the management and negotiated a visit for $150 arriving whenever our friends wanted and departing at 2am. Of course you have to consider the cost of getting there and back in figuring out if it is worth it but pretty sure it was worth it on this night :)

The pool bar closes at about 5pm and the jacuzzi bar opens at 4 or maybe a little earlier, but most people head over to the jacuzzi between 4 and 5. It is an amazing huge jacuzzi with a big jacuzzi bar with maybe 8-10 seats in the jacuzzi at the bar and plenty of seats throughout the jacuzzi. Around the jacuzzi are 6-8 day beds. This is where people can 'play' if they choose so don't store your stuff there lol. There are many cubbies to store your clothes, bags, etc. Also there are plenty of towels. As for 'play' sometimes no one is playing. Sometimes all the beds have activity. Sometimes that activity is just husband/wife. Sometimes much more. Use your imagination. We are not public play type of people lol, not our thing. And although invited several times, a polite no thanks would do the job. It is hard to imagine but it really is a no pressure environment. After a little while you tend to get desensitized to it all. People having relations 20 feet away just seems part of the norm. Kind of like how after a day at ttr topless meant nothing to us but before going the 1st time Jen was not sure she would even go topless. Anyway it is a ton of fun socializing in the huge jacuzzi. Can't think of a better place for a cocktail hour.

Our friends arrived at 7 something and the front desk said they could stay as long as they wanted as long as they departed before the sun rose :) If they were still there when the morning shift arrived then they would have to pay for the next day. We all went to Aphrodite for dinner after getting acquainted with the place. I had the filet and it was great. Fabulous service and even better company.

We decided to skip the nightly event and club and have our own fun in the balcony plunge pool. The room fridge is stocked with beer and sodas and your butler will get you whatever you want. In addition, while in the penthouse, room service is free (I think it costs $10 or $20 in the other rooms?) so there are lots of options for drinks. However we like to pack and bring our own bottles for situations like this :) You can bring 3 liters of liquor each in your packed bags duty free into mexico so we always pack a couple bottles of grey goose orange, some sugar free red bulls and a bottle of sailor Jerry's rum. They have grey goose and captain Morgan's at the resort. There is a charge for red bull, $5 each, so it makes sense to pack some of those. Anyway, we had some drinks, enjoyed the plunge pool which you can have heated to whatever temp you prefer (talk to your butler) and kept with the clothing optional theme of the resort :) The stars seemed to align this night and lets just say we crossed some things off the bucket list and we will leave it at that. Like we said above we are about the party first and if something else feels right then great and nothing could of felt more right this night.

Late night (maybe 2ish?) we all went to the jacuzzi and there were some people here and there 'having fun' or enjoying a nightcap. We had a couple drinks and enjoyed each other's company for a couple hours. Sadly around 4ish it was time for them to taxi back to ttr before the sun came up. What a night!

Pics of the jacuzzi area to be added next, as promised above weeks ago, sorry Jess :(

We haven't made a foam party day but plan to in May. We definitely made up for the missing body shots and AIWC poolside at the jacuzzi. Each week is different but in our two weeks none really at the regular pool :(
