I thought I kicked u in the balls when u sprayed it on my chest and tried to lick it off? I totally forgot about the ketch-fire. That was a good idea also.
Ketch-Fire was a good idea but poorly executed. I should have punched open the valve on the top of the bottle. It took too much pressure to get it to open, resulting in a high pressure jet of Fireball. I wish I had the opportunity to test it out before Jeff (the other one) filled it up!
Yeah, it is hard to plan and think this stuff out when we were in the condition we were which reminds me of s question I meant to ask you earlier. The nipple clamps part of the night is a little fuzzy. Did they provide a shock too? I just st remember them really hurting lol. So much that I wonder if I was shocked too?
They were vibrating nipple clamps, not shocking! Lol I got a lot of attention when the package was opened. I was thinking that it was good to be the emcee!
Tuesday oct 7th. Switch from TTR to pearl day Tuesday Oct 7th In advance we booked USA Transfers for $105 to take us from the airport to TTR then TTR to pearl then pearl to the airport. Normally a taxi is $40 usd between Temptation and pearl. It is a set rate of 420 pesos I believe. The only catch with booking USA Transfers in advance is you have to choose a pick up time in advance. You can change the pick up time up to 24 hrs in advance. We choose 4:30 as we wanted to hang out with the octoberbreasters one more day at the sexy pool and Pearl check in time is 3, although last trip our room wasn't ready until 5 (but we have read that isn't normal). 4:30 would get us to pearl about 5 and give us a fun day at the sexy pool. Sadly our string of perfect weather ended and Tuesday was a rain out. A quick thought on the weather and forecasts. We are sun worshippers and people love to say the weather doesn't matter it is way better than <fill in the blank>. Well it does matter to us as we have limited sun opportunities and the resort is just not the same when it rains. Sexy pool is mostly empty. Outside activities are cancelled with some (but very few) moved inside to the sports bar. I wish they planned more when it rained but they don't. Thankfully Octoberbreast makes its own party, more on that below. Back to the forecast since it is asked about so much on here. If you are like us and like to check the forecasts here is what we have learned in years of doing this and checking the forecasts daily before a trip Almost every day will show a cloud with a shower as there always is a chance of a shower. Does that mean rain every day? No. It means a small chance of a shower. People like to respond to the forecast questions where people are usually freaking out about the rain with 'it never rains in Cancun but if it does then it is only for a few minutes'. Well from our experience this is going from one extreme of the spectrum to another. Every trip has had at least one complete rain out. It happens. The beauty of nature. We have noticed that those rain outs are usually predicted pretty accurately starting about 2 or 3 days out and accuweather will usually say rain instead of showers. It is a science and they do just as good with it in mexico as the US. Sorry for the tangent but I always find that debate interesting. Back to the fun. So when the rains really picked up and the sexy pool was unbearable a large group of us moved to the sportsbar planning to start an adult beer pong game (topless or whatever they would let us get away with). Talked with several managers to get a table (people were using ping pong) and they spinned their wheels a little while but eventually got the table and jj to run a tourny. So the afternoon was filled with more beer pong with some extra sexy twists as there were some ladies teams and clearly this was anything goes beer pong to distract the other team. Tons of fun and again Darin and I were in the finals but then Jen and I had to go or risk missing our transfer. A negative of playing beer pong for 3 hours was my petite wife was wasted. She was on one of those girl teams and they won several games but these were red solo cups filled almost to the top so I quickly realized we may of sacrificed our first night at pearl for 3 hours of beer pong. Oh well. Live and learn. It was fun. Jeff and Andrea joined us in our transfer. They had decided to try pearl based on a previous trip report of ours so we were happy to help show them the ropes. So did another couple or two. In all cases they were more than pleased with pearl and couldn't believe they had waited so long to try it. Several indicated they wanted to do a trip report but were worried about backlash for saying they like pearl. I have always believed as long as you are constructive and point out the positives then it mostly results in healthy debate. We love ttr and we love pearl, for different reasons. Pointing out why pearl is better for us doesn't mean ttr isn't better for someone else. The beauty is everyone can build their own opinions. Sometimes I think I come off strong in my love for pearl because for years I had preconceived beliefs about pearl so we were afraid to give it a try, same with ttr before we tried it. In both cases removing the fears and giving both resorts a try were life changing decisions! On to the Pearl part of the trip... Pearl has a really elegant open air lobby. We were greeted by the front desk staff and our butler who all remembered us from our May trip. At check in you sit down and are brought a drink and hot towels. We got our bracelets and settled up on our upgrade. As mentioned earlier in the trip thru various discounts including buy 3 get 1 free and a 20% off coupon code we were able to get our regular ocean view room rate down to $333 a night. Then we upgraded to a penthouse suite via the hotel directly for $900 ($225 a night more). We had previously been told that you will see the same rate for pearl everywhere and it isn't discounted. Well obviously that isn't our experience as the posted rack rate for a regular ocean front room is 5something. Around 1000 for a penthouse, a night. The lobby had some construction activity going on. They are enclosing it so it has AC and creating a new location for the nightly shows. The check in process was easy. The timeshare people didn't ask to talk to us and we were not sent to their desk. I wanted to get a different penthouse suite (there are only 8) than the one we got last time just to try something different as they all don't have the exact same layout. They are willing to show you a map with what is open what nights. Pretty cool to see how organized and planned out they are. If you recall at ttr the front desk staff tried to talk me out of my upgrade and convince me to take something I knew was worse. At Pearl they did everything possible to meet our requests. We ended up taking the same Penthouse suite though. The one over looking the jacuzzi. It isn't the closest to the beach but it is fun to look down on the jacuzzi party. For those that didn't read the May report I will describe the room a little. The negative is there are not elevators so if you don't like stairs these rooms are not for you. The penthouse is about the 4th level. It is a quaint setup and most buildings have different layouts. When you entered our suite immediately there is a kitchenette to the right with fridge, microwave, sink, coffeemaker and lots of storage space. After the kitchenette there is a guest bathroom on the right. Then you enter the main living area with big screen tv, couch, 2 chairs, dining table, windows/sliding glass door on two sides looking out to the patio/ocean and vaulted ceiling with fan. Turn left and you reach the main bathroom area with an oval above ground tub, 2 sinks, a separate shower, a makeup table area, a walk in closet and another vaulted ceiling. This area is almost as big as your room at ttr. Continue on and you reach the bedroom which also has a couch but the main draw is the windows and sliding glass door which leads to the patio, where you can basically look out over the ocean from bed. You can get to the outside patio via sliding glass doors from the bedroom or living room and the patio is the highlight for us. There is a table with chairs for outside dining, a cushioned futon for lounging in the sun and a raised plunge pool with jets that can be set at the temperature you like. We have it set hot for those late night dips. The view is simply amazing and it is large enough to entertain 60+ people. Although it sounds like it, that is not an exaggeration. The butler brings up your bags and then gets you whatever you need (ice, a drink, whatever). He remembered our crazy penthouse parties in May and asked if we would like to have another one. We tentatively scheduled one for Thursday and agreed to workout the details poolside Wednesday. We were feeling the wear and tear from our time at ttr but made it to dinner with Jeff and Andrea at the main Pearl restaurant, which is called Pearl. Currently Pearl has two dinner options but they are in the process of adding a third (it may be started up already as they had built it but just needed furniture). The other option is called Aphrodite and is less formal but the quality of food still crushes any of the ttr options (someone always responds to this statement with something like who cares about the food on vacation, doesn't matter to them. Well it does to us and pearl definitely exceeds expectations). With so few restaurants you might be worried about eating the same things every night but they change the theme and menus daily. So there actually are MORE options than ttr. Service was top notch. Atmosphere very sexy and people really dress to impress at pearl. Men can wear slacks, linen pants or nice jeans with a collared shirt so it isn't too extreme on the dressy side but to be honest we like to get dressed up. Jen usually wears a sexy cocktail gown and then changes into something a little more extreme sexy for the night time events. They always have a show about 10pm. Always something sexy. They currently hold them in their night club. The night club at Pearl is a huge selling point for us. Nice loungy comfortable upscale environment with good air conditioning. Has a raised dance floor with great dance club like lighting. Bartender to attendee ratio is great and it is always easy to get a drink. Plus they instantly remembered I liked grey goose. Another upgrade at Pearl is the quality of the liquor. We enjoyed the show and did some dancing. Ran into a couple we met in May and it was nice catching up. However, at this point of the trip we needed a night to recuperate so we called it a little after midnight. The place to go at about midnight is the clothing optional hot tub but we couldn't make it. We usually are social butterflies but just couldn't hang, I guess due to those 4 crazy nights at ttr It happens. Tomorrow would be our first full day at Pearl and we took full advantage, probably the best day we have ever had in all our trips to Temptation and pearl thru the years. Magic happens at these places
I promised some pics of pink night a couple posts back. Catching up tonight. The first one is dinner in the Italian restaurant. Can you tell by the look on my face that this was the night after the Boobs Cruise? Always a dangerous night for me Some of the lovely ladies in pink...
And the pics to help visualize above... pretty crazy for a bathroom ceiling... looking out of the bathroom to the tub which overlooks the plunge pool... the plunge pool while leaning out of the tub thru the sliding glass window... uhm, yeah, it is party time!
