We like the 29th or 30th best - so many folks arrive for Halloween on the 27th. The 31st will have to do if no changes can be made........
steve, patty and i will definitely go on the 27th cruise, but if u get enough interested in the 28th or 29th, that would also work for us, but really not interested in another cruise on the 31st....it helps going for 10days instead of only 7:headbanger: just let us know when u want the deposit...charlene
Just wanted to say I have been keeping up with the thread and am noting all the comments. We do have 6 weeks to go before the end of Oct/early Nov time frame so there is always time for flexibility. Some points to consider: - We need to leave sufficient space between cruises such that we are not counting the same people twice. Some people do take two cruises but most will just want to do one. Unless there's a huge group like April and May then no less than 4/5 days apart usually works the best in ensuring there is sufficient turnover of people to get a cruise above the minimum of 25. - The roll call from Partygirls thread does seem more extensive than the official roll call, but bear in mind you have to subtract peoples arrival and leaving date and also any Thursdays. Some folks also want to avoid cruises on their last full day. This slims things down quite a bit. - The number of people who say they are coming and then don't is usually far higher than the number of people who don't say they are coming but then do. - I've found it's not practical to rely on other groups who may be at the hotel but who are not part of cancuncare. They are usually doing their 'group thing' and if they don't all go, none of them do. If they do want to go then they usually contact me and ask for a 'private'. - Experience has shown we cant rely on recruiting others at the hotel once there. People do often feel confident they can do it but in reality it usually doesn't significantly change things. Sometimes we do get a few extras come along, but 9 times out of 10 the number of extras on the day is less than the number of no shows, leaving us at a net loss. So the upshot of all that is that it's easy to over estimate but we need to be careful not to do that and use practical experience to ensure that as many people as possible are accommodated whilst achieving at least minimum numbers for each date to avoid cancellation. That said, I think I will be moving the Oct 31st cruise to Nov 2nd it seems the popular choice. That would mean the one before that currently Oct 27 would be 7 days previous which would make it too far apart, and folks would fall in the cracks if they only have 5 days. So that one may well move to the 29th as a consequence. Problem with that is anyone leaving the 28th or 29th would not now be able to go unless we add in an earlier date 4 or 5 days before - and I don't think we have the numbers for an earlier date. Please excuse all the rambling, it's more to remind me of current thoughts when I look again in a week or so. TLDR.... Dates will probably change for the end of the month!
Not yet please. Deposits open up one month in advance so keep an eye out around the end of this month.
What dates are you looking for? I had another group of 4 couples ask me for the time period 19-26. If there are 8 couples for the same dates that is a very good start and we might be able to add an extra date in, although it could be that you are part of the same group
