She'll still have bar stools at the Tiki Bar to deal with along with a number of stairs to get to the pool. It'll be a challenge, but maybe we can alternate duties to keep her out of trouble?!

Have you guys read the post "very different this time, Restling trip report"? GP doesn't sound as tame as everyone is thinking.

 

Think it will be fun,, we will have a good time

 

Some are reluctant to come because they want someplace just like TTR. Well, there isn't anyplace just like it and there may never be, even after the remodel is complete, other than the name.

We haven't been to the GP since 2012, but here are some of the finer points that we recall about the resort:

We feel that their Asian restaurant is superior to TTR. Try their Teriyaki Chicken!

The breakfast buffets are pretty much identical, but the GP had more food stations for a variety of fresh made items at lunch.

The GP has Shangri-la for their upscale restaurant. Certainly even with the Italian at TTR. When we ate there only 2 other tables had people seated. For some reason the folks at the GP don't like to get dressed up?! Food and service was impressive.

There is an authentic feeling steakhouse at the resort too. Wasn't impressed with their ribeye, but if I recall correctly I think it was the sirloin that was delicious!

We never made it to the seafood restaurant, but we heard that the coconut shrimp was wonderful.

Oh, and they have Paty'O burgers, fries and the like almost around the clock under the building at poolside!

There are games at the pool and on the beach. They are more tame than at TTR, but none the less fun and entertaining.

There is both beach and pool volleyball. Be ready for a mouthful of alcohol if you screw up!

There are trivia games, perfect couple and iron man contests at the pool.

The Tiki Bar can be mild or wild. Just depends on the crowd! Be prepared for bewbie flashes and body shots from time to time! More while we're there I'm sure!! Can you imagine 'Dress shirt and Stilettos Night at the Tiki Bar? Aye yai yai!!

There is a large hot tub where you can soak and listen to the waves crashing at night. Honestly can't recall if it was any warmer than the pool, but it was quite dark in that area and could be quite inspirational… just saying. :clappyinghappy::3some::daveandmo:

We never witnessed any toplessness at the pool while we were there, but if I were a betting man I'd say there are plenty of gals waiting to follow someone else' lead!!

Like I said before, I think the Sixties club is under utilized and I hope we are able to change that on at least a few nights for some dancing!
They do have karaoke night and dance lessons on certain nights. Lucinda and I would love to learn how to Salsa!

There is also the Galaxy Theater which has performances perhaps 3 or 4 times a week. Some shows are amateur hour where the guest participate and others are just like the ones on Saturday nights at TTR.You know, Michael Jackson, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez impersonators and the like.

Oh, and on Saturday evenings they do a poolside BBQ. The food was quite good and they try real hard to get the guys shorts off! Even the shy and judgmental types jumped up with their cameras when the shorts started dropping! LMFAO

A little walking is required to catch the bus though as the GP is at the end of a horse shoe like cul de sac, but you are quite close to both Kukulkan and La Isla Isla Malls.

The rooms are on par with TTR inside, but the ocean view is far superior and even the lagoon view is impressive. Sunrise is over the ocean and sunset is on the lagoon side.

Well, that's my summary! We are quite excited to go! No, it's not going to be TTR, but it beats the hell out of staying home and Cheapo Filipo here ain't going to spring for DRM or the like! LOL

Friday October 14 - Men's Dress Shirt and Stilettos Night.
OK ladies, most every guy’s fantasy is to see a woman in some high heels that say “f@&k me” all over them and just a gentleman's dress shirt, either from the office affair, or walk of shame, one night stand, cougar teacher or professor!
Guys - channel your best Tom Cruise in "Risky Business"!
