    El nino

    just read on usa today website:

    That the El Nino climate patterns greatly reduce the tropical storms and hurricanes in the atlantic.

    not officially there yet but trending towards an el Nino this year!!

    i guess that it would reduce the chance of tropical storms and hurricanes by up to 80%!!!!
    good news for us.
    no named storms this july so far and last time that happened was 2009 during the last El Nino.
