Spent all day Tues trying to get there ... Our flight left 45 min late and we missed the connection ( we heard later that was the last plane to get to Cancun and they bumped 10 folks to lighten the load).. flew Norfolk to Philly to Houston , back to Norfolk, They said all flights were canceled till Friday at that point. So there really wasn't even any stand by.......18hrs of traveling always a carrot in front of our noses but ended up all in vain...... we missed the original connection by 2 min.... watched it leave the gate ... Hope things improve quickly for those leaving later in the week
Good luck to everyone going in the next couple of days! As noted above, it looks like Ms. Paula is headed towards Cuba and won't be a direct hit on the Yucatan....awesome news. The same thing happened to us a couple years ago while we were at Desire...we actually watched the most outer bands to the north of the resort from the hot tub! Scary black skies at 4 PM in the afternoon. However, he had some of the most beautiful skies ever just an hour after it past. Have fun and save some liquor for those of us going in a couple weeks...LOL! E&J
Get the F out of here, Paula!! It's definitely looking like Cancun was barely touched by this thing. Have any of the crew that are heading there tomorrow heard anything about their flights being delayed or cancelled?? Let me know!!
I haven't checked but I'm sure that if Jackie and Jason's flight is still on, ours is too since Beth and I are flying out of the same airport on the same airline after them. Yeah!! Tomorrow at this time I'll sitting in the airport bar, having a drink during our layover. Who's up for NTVB on Friday?
I would say that we will be, but Angie and I also have an appointment at the spa on Friday afternoon that she doesn't know about yet... (shhh...) So it will depend on what time NTVB goes down.
I knew you guys would do that... Boo!! We would love to, but obviously we are a bit too late to change now!! We just need to plan to come up for Stampede, or maybe you guys can come visit for the 500 or something... We're not going to let this Paula bitch ruin our vacation!
