It'll make a change for America to have a president who knows something about foreign affairs and who doesn't want to kill loads of his own soldiers. Bush & Blair should be shoot for what they've done to the families of the American & British soildiers.

    us2933-

while I witnessed what Giuliani did following 9/11 (i was there)- we shouldn't just jump in and think "wow" and elect someone because they bonded people after that murderous day. i like Rudy- i do- but the bottom line is, he does NOT have the experience you mention in foreign affairs- and for you to insinuate that Bush and Blair be shot- well, the other threads are beaten to death over this topic (Drewbert, I will not argue with you again, as I respect your opinion)- and it is my opinion that had Bush and Blair not been in power the past few years, after 9/11, the US would have been hit with an attack that was much worse. Giuliani has about as much foreign political prowess as Clinton did- the same Clinton caught with his pants down, the same one that lied and perjured himself, the same one that gave the North Koreans the funding to go ahead with their nuclear program (oh, that was in exchange for the promise NOT to
do so) and the same one who was in office when the world trade center was attacked the first time, in '93- and did nothing about it.
i also feel bad for the military families that have lost loved ones- i have family over there- but when you live in the US, and you VOLUNTEER to join the military, you should only do so with the understanding that one day, you may have to pick up a rifle and use it.

    I don't know man,
I'm not jumping in to vote for Rudy because of the whole 9/11 thing. Like I said before, he did a WHOLE lot with the city before 9/11 and before he was even mayor. He went after crooks in office and went after the MOB. He cleaned up that city like no one else before him. crime went WAY down after he took the Mayor's office (Im sure you can think back and compare what the city was when Dinkins was mayor and what the city was after Rudy!!!). He did a lot of great things for one the the greatest cities in the world and proved to be a great leader.

His foreign policies......well, lets just see what he has to offer first. Its gotta be better then the ones of the current idiot in office and the ones of Billy C.

As far as volunteering for the military and having to pick up a rifle.....I agree, sometimes it has to happen. BUT.... picking up a rifle for a complete mess like Iraq??????? not justifiable in my opinion, especially when there are real threats lurking.

anyway, I hate getting sucked into these threads!!!! no one is right or wrong, its all opinion!!!

I just want to be in Cancun drinking a Dos Equis!!!!!!!!!!!

    venom-
i'm with you- and i will buy you that beer when we meet-
i know i sound mean, not my intention with the iraq thing- we all battled it out in the other thread; i'm sure everyone here is a fantastic person- and i wish i had the answer to the iraq situation; to tell you the truth, the US has been far too nice to so many countries for decades- and all it ever gets us is crapped on- you of all people, living in NY should understand that-
hey, let me know when you want that beer!!!

Well, if you want a troop-supporter in power, Rudi may not be your best choice, given he dodged the draft.

Three divorces and support for abortion and gay rights may not make him the favourite in the Baptist belt either, unless you think his being married to his 2nd cousin once cancels out the negatives :)
