Why is it historical? Is Jesse Jackson not black or something? http://www.draftgore.com is all I have to say. Oh, and watch the Oscars. And the futures market at https://www.intrade.com/
Who said anything at all about it being a historical event because he's black??? I think it's a piece of history in the making anytime someone declares their candidacy for President of the United States. And to be there and see it is not something everyone gets to do.
Exactly. It was also historical from the perspective that he did it at the Old State Capitol where Lincoln served in the legislature. By the same token, I went to see Bill Clinton in January of 2000, not because I wanted to hear him give a policy speech about flood recovery in Quincy, IL, but because I was seeing the POTUS. Got to shake his hand too.
Fair enough. I guess if he ends up winning, it'd be pretty cool to be able to tell your kids you were at the event where President #nn announced his candidacy. My guess is the USA will have it's first (long overdue) woman President. Prior to 2008. Either Condi or Nancy. :^)
Condi I'd vote for, there's just something about Obama that I just don't trust. Hillary......no freakin way
If you want to sound truly excited about it (as am certain you are), just change the "have" in your question into "get".
Rudolph Giuliani is going to make it official any day now and will be running as well. I saw what he did with NYC, how he cleaned it up and brought crime way down. He's got my vote so far!!!!!
