I'm traveling with 4 other couples and it's our first time as well. We're coming in on the 24th to the 28th. Any pointers for this place and what the dress attire is for the restaurants like the Black Hole.

From a man standpoint: no, thongs are not common in Oasis. Think of it as an advantage. I did wear one, and half the hotel guest said 'Hi' to me the next day

 

For restaurants, plan on pants for men at any of the restaurants that require reservations. For the Black Hole, you'll want to take dark or black clothing. It will enhance the experience of dining in the dark. Try all of the restaurants - they're very good, and each one has something different to offer. They're also opening up a new restaurant - Careyes. If I'm not mistaken, it will be a seafood restaurant.

 

Are jeans acceptable or should dress pants be the pick to wear?
