    HOLLA

I've played C league hockey and I'm a DECENT Ice skater.. maybe I'd do well on Skis.. never tried. I work for Air Wisconsin now, so maybe I should try some COLD weather destinations!

Stairs or no stairs I'll make a fool of myself, last time I fell so much I could confidently say I rolled down the slope rather then skied it!!

NickyD I thought I'd go Alright skiing too, having been an elite gymnast and danced for 15 years, I can dance in ballet pointe shoes for hours but I sure as hell couldn't ski, haha  At least snow doesn't hurt to fall on, just a bitch to keep getting yourself back up again and again and again.....

Skiing is more about being able to do sharp turn without falling than having flexibility and moving with grace. So it's actually super easily for people who play hocky. It's like doing hockey stops with giant skates.

Strap some pointe shoes on and tell me how you go in the balance department!! You don't need grace or flexibility to be able to balance in them, you either have it or you don't, most important thing you need is strong ankles. My comment had nothing to do with flexibiliy and grace, but core strength and balance - I thought having a high sense of balance would of helped skiing which it didn't as a first timer.
I never said he (or and hockey player for that matter) would be no good at it anyway, just that I had the same thought that I'd pick it up easily with my background which I didn't.
