Ok, heres the deal. I voted for the RIU, not because ive been ther but because ive been to the OASIS. Me and my buddy got robbed of everything we had (everyones heard this story millions of times) but yeah we got robbed of our money, cameras, camcorders, cologne, and even some freakin clothes. I dont trust that hotel as far as I can throw it. The cielings were leaking, the rooms were entirely too small, and all around it just sucked. hats my 2 cents. Hope it helps ya out a bit in your decision

I have to be honest, I couldnt stick the Oasis for 2 weeks I think if you are just going for a week it would be alright, but whenever I went there for the day this year it was just pure chaos, which is good but I couldnt stick that for 2 weeks I'd want a break in the second week from all the noise even if it was just a day or so.
I'd go with the Rui mate.

    Bye

    what review?!?!

i think i changed my mind overnight... stay at the Riu. at least then you can say "i stayed at the Riu in cancun"

all the hotels there are pretty decent like gemma said, if you go spain or
greece or wherever you get a boxed size room or apartment with 2 single
beds pushed against a wall and are more likely to get your stuff robbed
    from there anyway.

cancun is on a different level, the rooms are bigger, the beds are HUGE
and you get excellent service wherever you go. if you stay at the Riu you
know you are going to get the best of the best! so do it.

(also, my stupid friend and i tried to infiltrate the Riu palace by swimming out to sea and casually swimming into the riu beach... we got caught by
a guard about half a mile out and had to swim back. the most dangerous half hour of my life. so do this, if not for yourself... for me!)

    so, neither did our hotel.
there was 10 of us all together, 3 girls, 7 blokes. so we never really
got bored. annnnnnd as the lads found out there were a few young people
staying there and they were indeed very hot young ladies so they had no complaints.
also, we went to the oasis cancun in the day, you meet loads of people there.
it will be better if MTV go back next year and they get the stage and the music back up of course..

Yeah I would choose the Riu, it's much nicer...And plus wasn't the Oasis chain trying to clean up it's image and try and not accept many SPring Breakers?
