That’s interesting. It seems like the restaurants are nearly empty most of the time. Maybe they are busier on NYE and they are trying to steer people away. We like to get dressed up and go out to dinner. We are looking forward to closing the book on 2020 with some fun crazy people.
The $150 bites but paying it and enjoying a great dinner is not really that bad. I believe we also got a bottle of Don Julio for that price. We have done 12+ NYE trips and are planning so again this year.
We will be there, me and 2 amazing women ! 3rd time at Temptation, 1st time for NYE ! Can't wait to meet all of you !
Might be worth it just for the Don Julio! Just kidding but it is so hard to go back to Patron or anything less when we run out of DJ Reposada!! That said, we cancelled 2 TTR trips this year due to Covid (we live in NY but fly out of Canada and can’t get into Canada) and are trying to still get one 2020 trip in! NYE is on the list as a possibility! What is the weather like (only been in April, May and July)?
Our gang is probably going to be doing a NYE trip! Looking forward to going at a time when it's a little cooler for a change. I will not be paying $150PP for dinner.
Our family owns a restaurant and I order booze for it. The distributor who supplies our area with Don Julio has been out of Reposado for at least two months. Not sure what is up with that. We can get Blanco, but not Reposado.
Same here in WNY...had to drive 30 miles after calling 5 places.....but we do have toilet paper, hand sanitizer and masks in our stores now! Think it was easier to live without TP as there are substitutions available....but there aren’t any for our favorite tequila (@ a similar price point)!
So based on when people have gone before for NYE, what's the crowd like? Meaning more before NYE, more after? The days leading up to NYE are far more expensive than after. But I would want to go when the most fun people are there. I just asked premier for rates from Wednesday (30th) to Monday 4th.
