We will be there over new years as well, 12/28-1/2. Room crawl sounds fun. Debating between staying at the resort vs going out to coco bongo for NYE. Can't wait to meet everyone and party!
My recommendation is for you to not go out to coco bongo on NYE, the resort will have a much better party.
Question about NYE for those that have been before. Do they do anything special or is it just like a regular night but with a different theme? We have been to both Desire properties and they do ramp things up a bit but it is not much different than most nights. Just more participation and everyone tends to dress up.
They definitely ramp it up at TTR. Usually the nighttime set up is much more extravagant, and they do a really good show. A few years ago they brought an electric violinist who was amazing. It was one of the best NYs things we ever seen.
Generally, they debut the new production/number show on NYE, that will run weekly for the next year. Last year was the first time since TTR re-opening so it was different in some ways from what previous NYEs were. Last year was a special menu at a few restos. The evening is spent at Bash. You have to try to co-ordinator for a table for the evening if you want to sit. Last year had a big countdown with pyrotechnics at Midnite. It is just different enough, from other nights, to make it seem special. It is a decent party and sometimes is outstanding.
We will be there from Dec 29th to Jan 8th! Looking forward to meeting you all and having a blast! Ive been there a couple times before with an ex but will be the first time for my gal!!
Sometimes outstanding, always at least very good except for when there is some sort of incident with glass, and hopefully that was a one time event. Annette and I look forward to seeing you guys again this year! No idea how many NYE trips we have done when you were there, but several for sure. Maybe 10?
We are there for NYE. Our trip dates are Dec26-Jan 1. This is our 6th trip to TTR but first during NYE. Hoping for a great party!
Most likely it is ten. Yes putting a champagne glass stem thru one's palm is not fun! We will be there (probably at our usual perch) waiting for you when you 2 roll in.
