On the theme. I know others dig it, including my better half, but steam punk is a lot of clothes for Mexico. Room crawl. Not sure if others are interested in a room crawl, we are, but we don’t arrive till the 30th. Many of you should know each other by then. We can Throw something together when we arrive if people are interested.
We are up for a room crawl. Steampunk outfits at first don't seem to mesh with the climate when I first thought of it, then I thought of how it could be twisted for warmer temps and sexy outfits. The basis of steampunk is a few elements over the traditional 1890's Victorian outfits. take the Victorian outfit out and keep the bits. for men and women: bowler or top hats, goggles on the hat or head and that is steam punk style. for guys: simple things can meet the theme and not be crazy add one or 2 things like bracers, a shoulder guard or a vest. you don't need a shirt (included a pic of a shoulder piece, you don't need the shirt) for the ladies: Corsets are always a good thing, even better if you have a peak a boo corset that leaves the girls hanging out. fingerless lace gloves, maybe a lace style choker and that's it. you can wear that and a thong and be set. (think the white queen from the hellfire club in the Xmen for the comic book nerds. I'll include a picture) also small glue on gears or painted on gears will sell it perfecty
We will be participating in the theme nights....most of them but not all. Not crazy about Steampunk so may just dress up a bit as we usually do for NYE when away. For those that do go to Temptation what is the theme night participation like. We see at Desire it is about 40% when we are there.
I’d say it’s about 60% about Temptation, obviously some themes are more popular than others. lingerie, white, glow are usually much higher percentage.
