i always tell people who ask me to go with them to the ghost bar in downtown dallas for cocktails....... yah sure i could go there and pay $20.00 to park, $25.00 to walk in the door, 15.00 per cocktail.........just to sit on a $10,000.00 sofa and be miserable all night long trying to look and act as pretentious as runway model or i could just find some genuine people wanting to get a taste, get drunk and messy and have some fun all depends upon what you are looking for at TTR i can find some genuine people wanting the ladder
I can't say that I can really understand how you could have been unsatisfied with the staff. I've never seen anything like you are explaining. The staff are great people. All of them. I guess I'm just asking what did you expect out of them.? Did you expect for them to wait on you hand and foot and stop waiting on someone else everytime they saw you coming or what? We go 3-4 times per year and the only time that we've ever seen any of the staff ignore or make a guest wait is when they are overly drunk and being rude and obnoxious. Not saying that you were either of them, just something that is hard for me to grip.
H d maybe it was just the room you had, we went down in July w/ my bro and sis inlaw and we both had great rooms. I had read in trip advisor that the rooms could me musty so i bought a couple of scented candle with us, didn't need them but they added to the effect . I thought the staff was great, and to tell the truth I was never sober enough at the sexy pool to see anything black. I started each day giving the bartender a $20 at the sexy bar and whenever me or my wife came ANYWHERE close to the bar there were drinks waiting. You say there was a quiet pool????? Like James Taylor says...." ain't never been there but they tell me it's nice" But the best part was the awesome people that we met and are actually still in contact with. I went there with only one expectation.....to have fun! and TTR far exceeded that for me, my only concern is that the new staff can duplicate what chino omar and lalo did. My advice ...give it another and drink heavily!
Temptation isn't for everyone and that is ok. My husband and I have stayed in several 5 star resorts in Mexico before Temptation and thought they were nice. But when we visited Temptation this past May for half what we normally had paid for the 5 star resorts, we had to put it into perspective and decided to go with the flow and had the time of our lives. In fact we have booked our next vacation to Temptation for May 2009 and scheduled to meet up with 3 of the couples we met this past vacation at Temptation. When we visit Tempation we call our vacation "adult spring break". May 2009 isn't coming soon enough. Just my 2cents. Kat
We leave on the 11th of Oct and I've been checking for prices for next April for weeks now. can't never be booked early enough.
