I've ran a bar for 15 years, she was basically brought up in one , and because of this she is a professional pool play . And she currently is going to collage full time plus holds a job as a bartender and an apt. Shes also a lesbian and is coming with her GF I like this resort because it's vary liberal I think she will feel comfortable, but like I said being around crazy ppl and partying is not a deal for her.

    salarry,

    A few thoughts on this...

Go through your travel agency's website again and verify there is no mention of the 21+ for TTR, take screen shots if there is no mention of it and bring them with you. Check the fine print if you booked online just to be sure....again bring that with you as well.

They will photocopy everyone's passport and put it on file... We always make a few copies of ours and place a copy in our luggage and one in our carry on just in case something happens to our passports. When they ask for your passport ask them why and when they say they need to photocopy them offer them one of the copies you have. They may want to compare the copies to the passport but it will probably be a cursory glance to verify the picture. You could even fudge a birthdate on the copy...wouldn't recommend that though (or a few other false document options).

If there is no mention on your travel agency's website re the 21 + or in the fine print of the contract you will be entitled to a refund if you don't want to chance things at the resort...could be messy with them, the travel agency, but in the end you will win.

Hope it all works out :) Oh btw, just in case you don't know or are concerned, from what we have seen the people at TTR are same sex couple friendly. Not exactly a bible belt type resort, lol.

Ty so much for your advise. I went there 3 years ago and had a great time. That's why I booked it for this vacation, however don't ask me why I didn't realize it was a 21+ resort. I really hope we don't have a problem I'm really hoping for a great vacation:))

they do check passports but i have never seen anyone kicked out for being under 21,
But i also saw enough drunk 18 old's who can't handle their booze working the colleges and don't want too see them on my vacation. but 1 or 2 who are their and aren't being wankers i can deal with.

pretty sure all Cancun hotels ask to see passports.. Might be liability issue such as mistakenly harboring a fugitive (?)

I didn't book through Expedia I booked through orbitz there is nothing about 21+ and also it says 18+ to book the rooms, feel free to check the sight out. Anyways, I called my travel agent and told them about my situation and and there problem do to the fact that it was there fault. Long story short I will not be going to TTR this year dont want to chance it I'm really bummed about it. I'm in the process of looking for another resort but deff. going back to TTR next year..any suggestings. for a fun resort that is walking distance to the mall, FYI I have already been to Tucancin ,flamingo , and oasis but a long time ago.
