Non vacation between old and new temptation

Even though it is a bummer to not be able to go to TTR, the timing kind of work out for Elyse and I. Our son turned 5 in July, and I always said that is about the age when it is appropriate to take long-distance family vacations. So when he has his spring break from school in 2017, we will be headed to Sea Adventures.

I know it's still pretty early, but I have mentioned this to a few other CCC/TTR friends, and there is some interest. Seems like it might be pretty fun to go to that place with a group. Hey if the parents are all like-minded and have fun, it seems like a logical assumptions the kids will too. Then we can just draw straws too see who is on parent duty, and the adults can have some fun too...not the same as our normal TTR fun, but different fun

 

Hire Uncle Chinos out to watch the kids and teach them some new words

We already did our Desire trip so now we are using the opportunity to visit with people from past trips. We already had a rendezvous in DC last weekend with a Desire couple. Are rendezvousing with a TTR couple at Secrets in Mexico in October and hope to go to Texas next where so many couples live that we have met over the years at both TTR and Desire. We are very excited about the opening and can't wait to return to TTR though.

For the last seven years my wife and I have enjoyed a couples only trip to Cancun. Just when we hit our stride (TTR last two years) now what? We've been to GP and Sens. Probably wouldn't go back to either unless with a big group. Hopefully we can continue to meet up with some of our old and new TTR peeps while we anxiously await the grand opening of the new and improved TTR.
