    On to Thurs.....

We signed up for the adult only booze cruise to Isla at the towel hut as our last excursion for the trip. Last year we visited Isla on our own via the ferry and took a golf cart around town and saw the sites using Mapchick maps as our guide as we had heard this was the best way to do it. We LOVED that day, it was very relaxing and wouldnt hesitate doing that again anytime. The only thing I would have changed was that we got there rather late in the day because we got so drunk the night before on the Friday night booze cruise and only got 3 hours on the golf cart and we were tired. Next time we do it this way we get an earlier start so we can be even MORE leisurly and relaxed! :D We did the booze cruise this time based on all the activities included sounded fun! I just knew my kids would LOVE to see photos of momma with a shark too! :D (hey I am always thinking of them! :p )

So 10 am we show up at the marina next door (gotta love an excursion that is neither too early nor too far!) and there are a TON of people here...including kids!   Is this cruise this huge? I was thinking smaller and I am SURE they said Thursday NO KIDS! I want to act stupid damnit! If I wanted to be around kids I would have brought MINE! :p But I need not worry. We check in with a guy and he assures us that there are several boats going out and one is only with TTR folks! OH thank goodness! I CAN act stupid without kids as witnesses to that! :p We are on the Don Diego and have recieved our boarding passes! :D They call our boat to be boarded and away we go. Got a drink!!! :D And comence to partaaaa! LOL! We get a little intro from our "cruise director" and then the man with the camera came around. Took a few overpriced photos of us to sell us later along with a man selling an overpriced video he would shoot. Of course we bought all of the above!

As a side note...The video was delivered to the hotel the following day. G and I watched a very small piece of it that day in the room while it rained but I have NOT seen the rest. On one of the two next days some of the people on the cruise were clapping for us. APPARENTLY we made a pretty big impression on that video and were the stars...The reason I havent seen it yet? The kiddos are around every time I have a chance. Me think I need to screen it first! :p Anyway...I will see it soon I guess.

So we commence with a little dancing and getting to know those on the trip with us. I ruined a perfectly good oppertunity for a man to get a french pedi while he slept (sorry about that Mary...if only I had known I would have HELPED and not HINDERED!). After the pro photographer took photos of us by the edge G got a little more comfortable that I wouldnt just fall off the edge of the boat if he were to take a photo of me there...I dont blame him. I am a bit of a clutz and with the way this trip was going he wasnt taking any chances! :p

First on the trip was the snorkeling! OMG! This was the BEST snorkeling experience I have ever had! OK admitedly it was only my third but, still, it was the best! The water was so clear and we saw SO MUCH. Since this was my second time snorkeling this trip I had an easier time with getting aclimated to having the mask over my face. I heard that the best snorkeling was to be had a Xel Ha and that is why I went there last year as our only time to snorkle. Maybe it was because it was my very first time and I spent a good deal of time scared of that mask over my face but really it didnt compare to this trip in any way! There were SWARMS Of fish and so many varieties! We saw Barracudas, a star fish (and the guide dove right down and grabbed him out for us to touch. This was cool because when we went to the zoo with my son's class I knew it wouldnt harm the star fish for me to pull them out of the feel pond so the kids could touch it closer!) and a lobster. I am so happy we took this trip if just for the snorkeling.

Got back on the boat, traded our snorkle gear for a drink! Got back to having a good time on the boat! :D That is my kind of trade. I think next is lunch. We sat with the folks who were next to us on the cruise. Some very nice Canadians! Lisa and (uh...uh...uhh) his name escapes me! :p LOL! The lunch was ok as far as buffets go. Yeah I am SURE he said that the buffet was going to be "real" Mexican and "not like that Taco Bell you eat at home!" it was totally NOT Mexican food. :? If I am remembering correctly there was things like spaghetti, fried chicken and mashed taters. Not very Mexican if you ask me! :p They had the most American of Mexican beers (Carona!) available by the bucket of 4 at a reasonable price so each couple bought a round. (drinks were not included with the included lunch. drinks on the boat only...they should tell you this as we know people who have gotten there with little to no cash. Oh well we heard in advance from one of those poor souls!) We had a while before we needed to leave so we took a dip in the ocean and "swam" with the nurse shark. To our surprise there was noone there selling overpriced photos of that. Nope! They use YOUR camera for you and then you tip them. Oh well we got photos of it anyway and paid much less than if they had the "pro" there! :p

Back on the Don Dieago. More drinks. Off to the dock in town to shop. If you follow the lead you are will run to a shop that must be affiliated with the cruise. G and I talked about getting some rings that we could use as sort of "pre" engagement rings. We talked quite a bit during the trip about getting married and when we think it should happen. I said fine. I need SOME kind of ring damn it! LOL! He wanted some cigars. We got to this store and they had everything! A ring caught my eye the minute we walked in! It was two hearts made of a bluish opal and silver. Too pretty! Of course G had already gotten into a discussion about his cigars so I waited very (im)patiently to show him the ring I had my heart set on. When the very lovely and very pregnant shop keeper was done with him there I had her show us the ring. It was a steal as far as I was concerned. G was like are you sure that is what you want? Yup one heart for mine and one for yours. He was sold! (obviously to be sold so easy he was drunk! LOL!) He wanted a ring too. (whiner! LOL!) She showed us these neat rings for men were they had an inner ring that swirled around the bigger ring. He had me pick one out. We also bought a really cool elephant carving for my Mom's mother's day gift and a few other items as this lovely couple told us they could deliver the items to our hotel later and charge a credit card when they came. (we didnt have that much cash) My Mom LOVED this elephant when I finally was able to give it to her this weekend. (she collects elephant stuff) After this shoping we looked around and got a few more things (including some ugly ass cowboy hats because G thought they looked cute on people at the pool. UM babe this is SO NOT US! They cost WAY TOO MUCH also!) Took lots of photos. Found a cute old bike in front of a restaurant and the owner came out to take photos with us too and we bought some beer from him. Ran into the only chick who was so far topless on the cruise. G volunteered me to go topless with her when we go back as she was feeling self concious (UM did I hear him correctly? Now I KNOW he is drunk!)

We are on the way back to the boat but are about 5 minutes late! Well folks these people are NOT on Mexican time and the boat was pulling away when we got there!  Luckily the videographer realized that we were running late and told them to wait. We had to jump across another boat to get on ours. We got a round of applause for that. Another drink was handed to us and I pulled out the puppies with my one free hand and TRIED to encourage the others to do the same...This WAS only TTR here people (well there was a small group of others but they WILL be attending TTR next year when the youngest turns 21 after talking to us! :p ) G took a ride on the spinnaker! That was cool as I always wanted him to parasail since I did in Mazatlan. He is a bit apprehensive of hights so this was a little more up his ally as it is lower. I didnt realize you had to swim out to it. As I was a "little" drunk and I am not a real strong swimmer G encouraged me to NOT do this even though I thought I would be fine. I just did as he said. (arent I a good little girl? :p  ) In hindsight I am glad I did listen. I may have died out there! LOL! Partied until we got back to TTR. Somehow folks my clothing...yeah. Um they are missing. I dont think they ever made it off the boat.

I think that was because well...it had been several hours since our last "siesta!" and well we were drunk so I think we were in a hurry to make it back to the room for a "siesta!" that is what we did until dinner. Dinner at the buffet. Cant really say as that I remember it. Went back to change for Casino night because we have decided that I will participate and I have something great for that. G was wanting to rest for a while as we had some time before we made it there. We woke up at 11:30. DAMN IT! Now I have to spend the next year working him up for me particpating again. (note to self: next year he wont get quite as drunk, only drunk enough to agree it is a good idea that his woman go out in public wearing next to nothing! ) Well cant waste the fact that I am in something sexy so we have more "siesta!" time. I am still drunk SO I fall asleep and I think he went and hung at Paty O for a while. (I know he did this once or twice while I was sleeping but really the memory is foggy on this!)

There ends another decent day at TTR! Well not exactly. We heard it rained that day at TTR. On the booze cruise nothing but sunshine. Funny how that works! Our luck worked for us this time! :D Only thing that went wrong is loosing my clothes (and they were brand new for the trip!) and that I bought that ugly hat! :p

Um...how do I remember these thinng? :? Could it be that they are fabricated???? :p  No kidding of course. I am not sure how I remember all of them. I did forget much but the main details I remember. I do have to think about them pretty hard though. See I am not totally sure if shopping or lunch came first on that excursion on Thursday. So hell I made lunch first. Does it really matter which came first? Na! Only matters that it happened! :p  :p

I (AHHAMMM) and GETTING to the photos. Patients my friend. Patients. It is a virtue. You Still havent heard what happened to the other camera. Dont spoil the story! :p

Well I will tell you. We checked daily with the front desk and my camera never showed up in lost and found. So when I got home I got myself a shiny new Blackberry. I am still lost on all the features at this point and I dont NEED many of the functions but am hoping to make myself more effiecent. We will see! It has a 2mp camera on it and on the screen of it the photos are actually pretty decent for a phone. I am sure I cant do too much as far as printing them but even if I could make wallet sized ones occasionally it would be fun as I take obscure photos with my phone. :p :p  It has a fun game on it and am in love with my pink gel skin I got on top of it!

Ok you dont care about all that do you?

Oh wait, wait WAIT! Hold on! I totally forgot what DID happen that totally skeeved me off on Thursday!

We went to breakfast in the AM and came back to our room wanting to shower & brush our teeth in our room before going on that cruise. UH yeah. Not gonna happen folks. Wanna know why? (too bad if you dont cause I am gonna tell you anyway! After all it is MY trip report right?!)

Yeah there was NO water. NOT. ONE. DROP. Tell me how can I wash my girly bits without water? So they most likley STANK. Sorry to those that smelt me. Call the front desk to complain. Can you people MAYBE have some water sent to our faucets so we dont smell tonight too? While you are at it the toilet really takes some effort to flush too... (with the other maintence issues we never even bothered with this one!)

At one point when they did finally show us an "upgrade" for being without air for so long it was a first floor room not as big as our current one AND right by Paty O. Yeah that is an upgrade? UM me thinks you have confused me for a stupid person! Obviously we turned that upgrade down. You know if they would have fixed the problem right away instead of turning the AC down for 4 days in a row and making us boil even further I would never have had asked for an upgrade. It isnt my style. But the AC never got too cool even AFTER it was fixed.

You better believe that when T and Jamie were handing out the coment cards at the pool the following day the maintenece section DID NOT get left blank. The comments flowed to the back of the sheet! Of course I know it wont go anywhere but at least I could vent! :p :p

Because of Jamie's lovely "Temptation info" thread I was able to see what happened this day! (Thanks my friend!)

I remember it rained off and on this day (and the rest of the trip!). We had our standard breakfast and headed to the pool. We spoke with Ricardo (the house photographer) about getting a photo shoot done of the two of us by the beach at sunset. (hey I am a chick I am thinking these would be "perfect" for our wedding invites. Shhh that is between you, me and the wall K?  The mind is ALWAYS working! LOL!) We had talked to him earlier in the week and he mentioned he could make a CD with 10 or more shots and two prints for $100. We thought that would be perfect so we arranged for a time to meet him that evening.

Off to the sexy pool. :D Body shot contest that I coaxed G into participating in. As I mentioned before we failed miserably. Next time Chino and Lalo can do me for G! At least they arent shy! Maybe he just needs several drinks first, it was kinda early! He was actually getting a drink while we were waiting to start and I "melted" Chino's heart when he asked who my partner was and I said it was my man up there. He asked me why so I tell him "cause I love him" and Chino HAD to tell G that it "touched" him and he believes me. LOL! Silly guy! I think tho we were introduced as the people "who met just 30 minutes ago"!

There was naked Tequila volleyball and "the perfect couple" contest. I attempted to coax G to participate and it was a "no go" the body shot contest was enough spotlight for him for the day. (darn it I should have saved that for volleyball, next year Angi next year!) So we just watched everything from the swim up bar and hung with lowrider a bit (where IS HE anyway? Havent seen him post since we returned!) he and his wifey were sad as it was their last full day. Should have seen the pouts going on there! I think this may have been the day we were introed to the tequila slammer by Sassy when she slid up to the bar next to us. They were ok but I am never good with drinking shots fast and I ended up wearing most of it. Good thing we were in the pool already!

Later in the day it was raining more but instead of going to the room to "siesta!" (Ok ok ok! In ADDITION to going and "siesta!" ing every now and then!) we hung at the pool. Hell you are already wet what difference does a little rain make? It was still pretty warm. We had our books and camera (in my "camera case") and such under both towels and bent the back of a chair on top. (do you guys see where this is leading? If you dont you will hear soon. Paitents my friends!)

Meanwhile in a land far...(oh shit that is a different story!) We ended up in a jacuzzi with two Canadian couples. One couple were newly weds and the man in that couple was the wife of the other couple's cousin. I dont remember the newly weds names as they went to their room after a short while (high five guys!!!!) but the other couple was a hoot (hi Dawn and Philip!) and we hung out most of the day. She introed me to Canadian cigs (and tho I am not a smoker occasionally when I get drunk I will take a drag or two I must say Canadian cigs are WAY different than American. They gave me almost a "high" feeling. I am glad I live here as I could see being a smoker there!) and we just shot the shit for at least several hours.

BUT. THEN. DOWNPOUR!   Crap we have that shit under the towels we better get that to the room. Suprisingly when we lifted the chairs the towels were still pretty dry and so were the books. BUT. OH. SHIT. WERE. THE. HELL. IS. THE. CAMERA? No it COULD NOT have been stolen. Just COULDNT have been! Afterall we have had way too much bad shit this trip we need NO MORE! No. More. :(

Oh LOOK! It WASNT stolen. Look! It is right there! In that puddle. Under the chair.   Coach "camera bags" are NOT water proof in case you are wondering. I know this because several years ago I bought a Blackberry and this "camera bag" was actually made for Blackberry phones. The blackberry died after a spin in the washing machine. That is when this bag became a "camera case!" We go back to the room to assess the damage. Sure as shit. The camera was soaked! And this one isnt waterproof. Nope. Sure isnt. Yes folks that is RIGHT! One one 10 night trip we managed to bust over $600 bucks in electronics.

We are pretty much resigned to having a shitty time at this point. So we forgo the "siesta!" and take our asses back out to the pool to get drunk. Dawn says "wow that was quick!" Yeah. Sure was. :? Hung out some more.

Ate dinner at the buffet. This was carribian night. Wasnt so sure about this...but yeah. UM SHRIMP was THE BOMB! I think I ate my weight in shrimp and I am not a small girl!

I dont remember what else happened this night. Maybe hung at Paty O a bit before bed?

Crappy. I did forget two things! Before dinner we did meet up with Ricardo and had some nice photos taken. He was going to do some candids around the pool on Sat in the early part of the day and in the afternoon he would make us our CD and prints and we could purchase them then. Well since it rained so much on Sat and Sunday was his day off we never saw him again so we never did get even one of those photos. That makes me sad.

Also earlier in the day we looked in the safe for one of my credit cards. We thought we had maybe put it back there becuase it was no longer in the camera case or G's pants pockets. This was the credit card hooked diretly to the account I opened JUST for spending money on the trip. We had my other two (real credit card and the one that is in my normal account for bills and such) but this one we couldnt find. Shit. We tore the room up. Looked like 15 times everywhere we thought it would be. Nope it is gone. So down to the front desk. We have no phone. No way am I going to try to contact the bank on a payphone on a busy street with a calling card.

I will say this my friends TTR customer service FAILED on the room maintence issue but in this situation they SHINED! The front desk sent us over to Sally. Super sweet gal who did have to obtain permission from her boss (the manager I believe and I think his name is Ricardo like the photographer but I could be wrong here) we spoke with both of them about the situation and they not only let us use the phone but there were several calls to actually get the right number to my bank as the one for outside the US calls on the card wasnt working. She placed the calls for us until we got to the right person. She was so pleasant during a very frustrating time. Really happy to have met her. :)

You know my memory sucks right now cause it is very possible that this happened on Sat on Friday. Really does it matter at this point? I dont think so. No matter what it was a sucky situation and Sally helped us through.
