We have been to TTR a few times and our rooms plus all of our friends rooms had doors on the bathrooms.

We were in 5322 & had doors & exhaust fan, smallish balcony, very clean, firm bed. The staff left anything in the fridge that we requested on the note beneath the $2 bill left on the pillow, cash left on the table or dresser was untouched.

4000-series rooms are excellent, as long as you are 4301 or higher. (above the trees, great sunset views of the lagoon and very little, if any, road noise!). Bathrooms have doors, the rooms are HUGE, big and private balcony, new mattresses (everywhere from what I hear).

This sounds like the best plan over all to me. Nothing ruins "romance" like hotel bathrooms.

the first room we had in November had a door... but the mirror in the room becomes a window which looks straight at the toilet when you had the light on... i like seeing my wife but certain things i prefer she did in privacy lol.

The suites and jacuzzi rooms we had all had bathroom doors. The Temptation Suite 1102 had a window where a mirror would be, so you could see into the bathroom from the main room, but the bathroom was in an L shape, so the toilet was in an alcove where you couldn't see it from the window. No other problems in other rooms, they all had bathroom doors and privacy.

We looked at another place in Cancun, I think it was Sun Palace, and the toilet was actually IN the room, there was no separate bathroom. I thought that was kind of weird, and not a perk in any way, shape or form! Reminds me of that SNL commercial from the early 90s/late 80s with that double toilet for couples "who cannot bear to be apart for any reason" - LOL!! yeah, not so much ...

We have been to TTR 4 times and our bathrooms have always had a door. If my room does not have a door when I arrive in two weeks, I will be requesting another room. Just sayin'.....

Hey if you're friends just ask him to go get you a cocktail and suggest to him
he should maybe take his time getting back so you can take care of whatever
business that may need taken care of...He'll understand...trust me he'll understand!:bandit:

Thanks for all the feedback, I am glad it isn't just me who prefers a little privacy every now and then! ;)

So with that being said is the 5000 block the way to go? I booked an ocean view and have no desire to be in the 2000 series and the 1000 seems kind of far away no?
