The beach at Temptation isn't that bad, its completely swimmable, calm and clean. I had the same worries when we went for our first time last year and was ok with the beach. We didn't spent a lot of time at the beach because the sexy pool was a lot more interesting and fun. T
I'd recommend a night at Coco Bongos and a day trip to Isla Mujeres... you rent a golf cart for the day and explore the island! Read up on the Boobs Cruise and see if it is something that you want to do. There are milder versions available if you find it intimidating. Some excursions that we found exceptional are: Xel Ha and Rio Secreto. The ruins of Tulum are beautiful and a trip to Chichen Itza is also an amazing experience although it takes a FULL day. My opinion...if you are traveling all the way from Australia you'll want to see and experience some of the local culture and sights! After all, you'll have 11 days.

No problem with booking them after you arrive. The Boobs Cruise may be the exception to that though. I'd suggest booking as soon as it opens for purchase. Some sell out quickly. What dates are you 2 planning for?
