My wife and I are headed to the Golden Parnassus for the first time Oct. 15-22. We've never been to a place like this. I'm very excited. She's excited, but also a little nervous. Anyone else going to be there during that week? Any suggestions of what to do or bring along from you vets?

Your top 10 list of things to know before we get there? Would be greatly appreciated.

We will be there Oct 2 - 11 so we will just miss you. There will still be a warm seat at the Tiki when you arrive. What to bring Top 10 list? Don't know if there are 10 things but here goes.
    1. Insulated mug. I use a 20 ounce.
    2. Sunscreen. Very expensive if you forget.
    3. A "dress-up" set of clothes if you want to eat at Shangra La. Collar for men as well as slacks and closed toe shoes. Been there 3 times and never made it to Shangra La yet. Maybe this time.

Thats all I can think of. Pack your bag, throw out about half what you pack and you will be fine. When we get home, we do our laundry and throw it back in the suitcase. Ready to go at anytime.

Sorry we will miss you this time, but maybe a later visit will coincide. Have a great time, I know you will.

ill be there a week after you.....wouldve love to show you around since ive been there 12times already (3 of which are this year alone).

    heres what to bring:

$ingle$ for tips (or 100s if youre a high roller).. (my rule is always $100/day----not typically all for tips but if you wanna go out to see shows at cocobongo, etc... or do excursions)

    Big smile

GREEN TEA EXTRACT (if you dont go outside the country often, this is a GREAT anti oxidant)

Advil (if youre not a drinker, you will get a hang over from all the alcohol lol)

shoes/collared shirt (for one of the restaurant that requires it)

and get ready to meet alot of new friends.
