I hate to be the barer of bad news, but the tequila selection isn't the best. Honestly the best shot at the regular bars IMO is Milagro Silver (chilled). At the premier bar these are the upgraded options. So if your not going as a member, or on a referral, maybe make a tequila shot friend/partner in crime .
You can buy the above tequilas scubasteve mention but have to buy the bottle 8f not premier. Or purchase one prior to arrival or across street they have a selection but dont remember what. Will be there in a few days so can check if you like, just PM me.
Corallejo isn't all that bad. And this whole premier thing is starting to sound super elitist... Its super annoying
I wasn't trying to sound elitist at all. And I don't think other members act like that either. There isn't a class system in play. In short form it really boils down to: the premier bar (that has some better booze options), a few extra items on the menu at each restaurant, and free access to the skybar. On our first two trips, before we went on Referrals or became members, we never thought we were missing out on anything or feeling excluded. We just eventually learned after several trips there were some "nice to have's" that made the program appeal to us.
We too understand that premier members get a larger selection of alcohol and roof access, but if you are paying a hefty membership, it most certainly isn't "free". Those perks get to be pricey! Don't worry about the Premier stuff Jessica. We're not members either and almost certainly never will be. It won't take you long on your first day to realize everyone mixes and mingles together at this place. There is no discernible class system regardless of what room somebody stays in, or what bar they get their drinks from. The people are easily the best thing about the place. And if you ask the bartender they'll likely make your drink with whatever you want. A decent tip early in the day goes a long way. Here is a tip for you.... A lot of people that have visited many times slip $20 in the tip jar at the bar early in the day, and then they're good to go. It's a lot easier to do that than fish for $2 every drink thereafter. The bartenders understand that too and are cool with it. They appreciate it! There really is no distinction of class, age, size, or much of anything at TTR. You'll love it!
Obviously "free" was the wrong word choice. I never understand why this has to be such a thing one way or another on the forum, hahaha. Some people like it, some people don't. On a board/resort that is supposed to be all about no judgement, this is the most judged thing ever.
Can anyone confirm if the resort carries grapefruit and lime jarritos, squirt or Tahitian treat?? For mixing purposes only
