We tan up pretty good. Easy to do at 5500 foot elevation! However much sun block you think you need, double it. We are bringing 8 cans. Even then we come back really dark.
He must fake bake or he's very likely going to be miserable! The Cancun sun is blistering.......I wouldn't count on finding lots of shade!
Oh yeah bald guys, bring a floppy hat. Hey ya'll see my pic, I shave my head and that's what gets the sun. In my experience of many years of being BALD and SHAVED, lotion doesn't help much on the head (btw both of them in some instance). Bring a floppy hat dudes.
Albert here Ok a little advice. I have never in my life had a tan I burn and that's it. so I will go over a few tips that made last trip manageable. 1. You are going to burn in that sun. 2. Sunscreen every half hour to 45 minutes dont care what the timeline says on the bottle it takes a couple of minutes and no worries. 3. pre-burn in a tanning bed several times a week the month before will make what you get in Cancun no issue. 4. Swim up bar will become your friend and hahaha the fun people hang out near there anyway 5. Sunscreen every half hour to 45 minutes, feel your skin getting hot re-apply just to be sure. Don't forget your head and ears. 6 take some of that blue aloe stuff for at night apply it every day when you turn in even if you don't need it I really feel like that helped me last year. This is a picture of me on day 5 last year. and this is awesome normally I burn in 30 minutes cutting the yard. Good luck with it an I hope this helps It sure made my life better and I never had a bad day the whole trip thanks to this.
A friend who was with us on our first trip a few years ago liked shade as well. He paid one of the workers at the pool $20 and told him he'd get the same everyday that he found him an umbrella. He had an umbrella delivered to his pool chair everyday. Said it was worth every penny!
