I from BC. Canada I am staying a Temptation from oct. 18 till nov. 1. What I am wondering about is I don't have a credit card so should I bring travelers checks or will I be able to use my atm card? If anyone can give me a bit of advice I would really appreciate it ty.

I'm pretty sure they do... but I've never used them.

    Anyone else know?

    money

we take $1000 in trv checks in 50s for our 5 day trips( also 25 per day in like new $1 bills just for tips). we make a copies of the checks- 1 in luggage and leave one at home. cheap insurance to avoid problems just in case. the $50's work really good. also call your bank or credit card company and give them the dates, if the card is lost or ripped.

Yes. They will cash the trv. checks. But, as all resorts in Mex. they do not offer as good an exchange rate as you can find at the airport or banks. Although not a bad rate, just not the best you will see.

We take about $500 in USD and don't exchange it....about $200 in ones, $200 in fives and rest in whatever they give us. We also use the ATM some to get pesos for bus etc. Change is mostly given to you in pesos.
