New Year's Eve in Cancun is good but it is at least 5 times more expensive than spring break or other popular times. Airfare is more, hotel rates skyrocket and many of the big clubs charge $100-150 to get in. I've been a few times but really don't think it's worth the money. You can wait and week and go and save yourself mucho $$$$$$$.
