    same here...

I think the fear of being made a prison girlfriend is greater than the fear of God. God forgives, Bubba doesn't.

What a load of bollocks. A child should fear and respect it's parent, they are the ones who teach them life values not any god. Fear in God has been used to creat wars, wheres the value in that? If faith is so important to America why have they invaded religous countrys for oil etc? Religous people use faith to suit themselves and thier own agenda.
There is now proof that any religion is true. To me it's all lies to suit people's greed. The fear of god you talk so much about is used to bleed poor people who are stupid enough to believe it and send money into stupid tv programes. You must be so proud.
This isn't an attack on miked as he is entitled to his view as I am to mine so please don't take this as an attack on you. It's an attack on what I feel is the sham people call religion.

spoken like a true atheist

but in all seriousness i couldn't agree more with what you said us2933; i find it quite scary that people can be coerced so easily to do unthinkable and random acts in the name of 'religion'

Another topic, but I was thinking the same thing about quite a few people in the Middle East.

With regards to currency: I would spend or save it just the same. With or without the phrase.

I'm confused. Doesn't every religion have a God? He, or she, may have different names but translated they all come back to God. OK, maybe Budda isn't referred to as a God in that religion - I have to admit I honestly don't know for sure but think not. But anyway, since English is our current official language... can't we all trust in some sort of God? Except for those atheist out there of course......

So so spot on but as with most believers or non believers, we all pray to something when the chips are down
