We've been to TTR numerous times and as others have said its a topless optional party place where you can get away with a few PDA's nothing like sex on the beach unless it's later on at night as the security is on the other side of the resort. Never been to Desire so can't comment on that but we have been to Hedo and I could tell you a whole whack of stories about the place. You don't need to be in the lifestyle at any of these places as we aren't. Let's just say you could "mess around" at Hedo and no one would bat an eye. From what went on when we were there that would be the most vanilla thing going a couple messing around by themselves.
LOL We agree with most of what J&K have said but we did not enjoy Desire near as much as TTR. Great room, and everything at Desire and you might like the hottub but for us it was way too laid back and "how u doin" and I guess an older guy has no right to say this but it felt older. Maybe it just lacked the younger! We missed the party and even the singles.

I would say the average age range at TTR is anywhere from 20-70 with the majority in there 30's and 40's. All ages seem to go there and enjoy it. With hedo it depends on the week you go. There are a lot of take over weeks, so the age group will vary from week to week. When we were there most people were in there 40's and 50's, with a few people in our age range at the time(late 20's).
I don't know that TTR is the best place to begin. I kind think that RM or Pearl might be. They are CO......and there will be some public sex especially around the jacuzzi thingy. You might see oral sex around the pool or on the beach, but we've seen that at the pool and beach at TTR too. Here'so the deal.............Desire is going to be waaaaaaaaaaaaay more relaxed. If you are comfortable around nude people......Desire is a great place to "begin".......
When I was at Desire I would say the majority was over 50. There were just a few of us in our 40's and 0 30's. I might have been mistaken, drunk or both but I swear the front desk at TTR offered me a day pass for Desire (reread beginning of sentence before relying on my comment). It would be best to call the resort and confirm things can change at anytime over there.
We have been to Temptation and Desire. The age thing really does not matter because everyone is there to have a good time. Temptation will be a younger crowd most times. That has a lot to do with the price difference. While at Desire we have seen young and old. It varies on different weeks and does not matter. One thing not mentioned about Desire is the difference in food and drinks. Although the food at Temptation is good the presentation and choices are better at Desire. The booze at Desire is much better. What I think it comes down to is do you want a 3 star resort or 4 star. The party at Temptation is second to none. We love both. That is why we split our trips.
Temptation is definitely younger on average but Desire depends. Our first trip was a mix of 30's, 40's, 50's and up. More recent trips more 30's and 40's than the first with a few 20's thrown in. So difficult to predict but TTR is definitely younger on average. Totally agree that price has something to do w that.
Re; the inevitable age question - lol - it really doesn't matter to most once you are there First thing is, it all depends on the week that you are there. Second point is that on average there is not really that much age difference between those that go to TTR or the Desire properties. Final point is that a lot goes to your perception - TTR has 384 room - Desire RM has 114 rooms - Desire Pearl has 88 room Obviously you will tend to meet a lot more people in your age range at TTR just because there are at least 3X the number of overall people at TTR !!
