Good and Accurate report. It's a bit unnerving to know that they are still having so many problems with the "new" resort. As most of us acknowledge, we go for the Party, People and Staff, but paying higher prices for what is turning out to be nightmare issues is a bit unsettling. I think they should really drop there prices down till they sort these issues out. I know when we were there for the opening week it was a bit much after being moved 5 times to finally get a decent room. No one wants to smell sewage when there on vacation. Some of us were able to get free nights or upgrades but not everyone did. We're headed back for HnH week and I hope that they have these issues worked out. If not, I guess will be spending more time at the sexy pool, Bash, Sports Bar, Boob's Cruise Etc........

First of all, we love Temptation and only want to see it improve.
There will lots of maintenance in the coming years to keep some poorly planed construction updated. The slippery floors need to be addressed. They are not only in the public areas but also in the room. Talked to a premiere member that had a bandage around his head and asked what happened. He had slipped stepping into the shower. With no doors on the shower it can get VERY slick in there. He had 15 stitches in his head. The resort came to him the next day and said they would pay for everything. That tells me they know there is a problem. Saw several ladies slip in the time we were there. Please be aware.
Definitely is not 5 star and I would question a 4 star rating.
Thank you for the trip report and agree with all of it.

    Yes that was Kevin.
Quite more to the story but not for me to share.
In the end TTR mgmt took care of things after quite a slow response.

As far as the 5 star rating goes, that may refer to the number of stars coming from your head once you slip and fall...like the old Road runner cartoons!

Hear, hear! I'll second that motion!

We've got to be mostly straight-laced at home for various reasons, though we don't have to hide the fact that we escape to "fun time at the naked place" is what I describe it. It's hard to get the same level of good time/fun time anywhere else other than the way TTR "was."

I'm hearing a lot of good things in Trip Reports, and I totally get it that it's the People who make the TTR experience the awesome-sauce that it is (I reported that on Trip Advisor back in... 2008 I think?). I can see the "why" if they are trying to slide the needle towards "Prude" and away from "Slut" on the continuum, if they've made an actual decision to do that.

Think on this... I've mentioned our trip to the Westin Cancun this past February on here. The per night price for that place (I didn't pay it, they were running a time share promo) was $559 per night. Almost $560 per night,a nd the Westin IS NOT ALL INCLUSIVE!

Nor does it have a Sexy Pool, nor was it topless. Nor was there a party at the pool. Heck, there was no party at all. The food was not good, service was slow, and it certainly didn't look like the Westin-Galleria we have in Houston.

Still, they were charging $559 per night and they were at about 90% capacity.

That tells me that there is demand for that, and people are willing to pay it. So, if that's true, and it is, if you were running TTR as your money-making vehicle....

... unfortunately, would you not want to maximize the income stream?

Sticks in my craw, but that's just plain old common sense. I do not like it, but there it is.

Yeah and add into consideration that the resort is almost always sold out, even in November which isn’t historically the busiest time of year and the reality is why would they lower prices when they are filling the resort at current prices?

Things will get better and time will tell if demand goes down and prices go with it but I am not holding my breath. Just going to enjoy the ride

it will be interesting to see, as time goes by, if price (boring vegas pozers) or demand (fun slutty partiers) win out.
TTR has always been akin to a 'key west party'.....and nothing will ruin that party faster than trying to change the place in order to appeal to a 'vegas pozer crowd'

I don't think they can maintain the new structure to 5 or possibly even 4 star layout. We generally like the place and many of the changes, but even before the grand opening party it was already showing problems, and you have to think that at it's grand opening it is the best it will ever be. If you're trying to market to the 5 star customer they are not likely to be satisfied with anything less than perfection. That leaves our easy to please, less prudish and fun, sluttier crowd who were pretty happy before and don't mind a few imperfections at a lower price point. We know what creates the fun atmosphere and it's got nothing to do with concrete and tile. Those are our type of people!

    Well stated!
    But follow de monet.
That is what business is about.
I am sure all of us have seen our favorite stores and restaurants just go out of business.
    Sad but true :(
