Booked our second trip to TTR this week using the link you gave Steve. Oct 10 to 18th.....first time using non major booking agency. Just hope there is not hiccups!! Price was better than anything else we saw. If anyone has previous experience with that booking site, please let us know. Can't wait to get back later this year!!
We booked via cheaptickets using a 16% off coupon and paid $315 a night for the opening in a 'lush tower oceanfront suite'. Weren't some people fretting about no discounts being available for even the basic not new but renovated rooms and the cost being $500+ a night? Hmmmm. Looks like we may get our cake and be able to eat it too.
If your searching rates make sure to clear you browsers cookies and caches out after multiple searches, you may just get a better rate if they think this is the first time you looked for these dates and location. T
We paid $214 a night a month ago for Oct 29-Nov 5 on Alpharooms. Price has steadily crept up to almost $250 since then.
Anyone else having issues booking through the link? We have tried different dates and even different hotels to check on rates. The cheapest site almost always has been Amomo.com that you link in through the Hotelscombined.com site. Every time we have tried to book on the Amomo site, it advises us that while we were booking the hotel somebody else booked it. Looks to us like a bait a switch site as they always offer up another room at a higher price. They even called me to try and up-sell me as you have to give a cell number to continue on booking. And, of course it never gets booked by someone else until you give them your info. Just curious if anyone else has run into this problem. Note that the other links we have tried on the hotelscombined site do actually offer the room at the price stated. Thanks
