Our lovely government has announced new rules for us Canadians returning from international travel. In addition to the 72 hour negative test before returning we will have a mandatory test on arrival back into Canada and mandatory 3 night hotel stay at the international airport of arrival (at our cost). After receiving a negative result on arrival we can leave the hotel and return home for our 14 day quarantine. If tested positive you will be escorted to a government facility for 14 days.
Travel became a hot topic here in Canada... after government officials ignored their own advice and travelled during the holidays!
Beyond frustrating! My 30th bday trip last March cancelled.. was hoping to rebook for this spring to finally celebrate and get away! Looks like that’s not happening anytime soon! So over all of this! I’ll end with a positive lol kids go back to school Monday!!! Woohoo
Wow, what year is this, and it's still 99+% survival if under 65 years of age, correct? And at the same time Democrat cities and states are starting to loosen guidelines in the US. We seem to be pulled in many different directions.
A number of European countries are also locking down a bit more. I don’t envy any politician these days... I don’t think there are any right solutions.
Shelter the vulnerable, and get on with life. This can't go on. Especially since the ones that make the rules don't follow them anyway.
Huh. Now I am glad that we're going in February, for certain. Government-sponsored location... sounds like a cell. I wonder how that'd go over in the Southern US?
