I'd rather wait a while. As someone said earlier it takes time to work things out. New isn't always better. Never go to grand openings at resorts or restaurants.
We stayed at Platinum Yucatan Princess last fall, they had been open for 9 months and still were having growing pains. Great resort, layout, food........entertainment was like "WTF"? 1 night they brought street vendors into the resort to sell their wares....it was bizarre. Other than the foam party which was awesome, never saw more than 30 people at the pool
Just a FYI - Breathless has now moved back their opening date for the 4th time (last announced date was to open on May 6, 2016) New announced opening date May 25, 2016 (with a maybe...lol) :aktion061:
The overhead picture which you originally had up in your first post which is no longer there 100% had an overhead that had a ton of Desire in it.
Looks kinda boring with half the people in the rendered pictures on there phones. LOL I don't go on vacation to talk on the phone. BUT... honestly it is beautiful.
We have been to Breathless in Punta Cana and are actually going back in June this year. We will be at TTR in July (-=. It is a beautiful resort and a fun time but much milder than TTR. It definitely has a party atmosphere. The entertainment team is great but the games are not as crazy. They even had a DJ at breakfast one morning with a special mimosa/bloody mary bar. The gift shop has a fun adult section with great toys and lingerie. I actually though if we could get our TTR group here we would have a blast! Its a new chain and they are still trying to figure it out, I think we should take it over and show them how its done! LOL The resort is topless but we did not see anyone topless during our visits last april. Although recent reviews I have read say differently. We plan on visiting the new resort in Jamaica next year.
The other important thing to note is that as well as moving back their opening date once again, they have really upped their pre-opening special pricing. Back in Jan 2016 their Pre-Opening Special Introductory Rate was $338.00 USD/night per couple I feel sorry for all those that booked early at the above extremely low Pre-Opening Special Introductory Rate and with the opening delay are probably going to get bumped to one of the other AMResorts At present(changed when they move back the opening date) their Pre-Opening Special Introductory Rate moved up to $507.00 USD/night per couple - IMHO, now not really very attractive to most....
I'd never be confident enough that a resort would open when they say they will...or that they'll have their act together right after opening. We get one vacation most years, and to leave anything to chance just wouldn't make sense!! Temptation...here we come!!!
