Uncertain times With the markets reacting to the British vote yesterday and the difficulty with the Canadian dollar the impact on available finances to take holidays is unknown. Today, the US market is poised to slide or plunge downward after the English news. TTR might be in for a rough ride of a perfect storm. They are investing millions in their resort while their guest base may diminish. The upward pricing may be challenged.
Our thoughts are the same Nikki, if you want something bad enough you will find a way to make it happen. We have to at least come back to TTR once to see all the new stuff they added to it after the remodel. T
Long way to go for just a week Trish and really if we could go somewhere similar, ie adult only, then a 2 week break would win hands down. TTR is great fun but it is also one of the cheaper package deals from the UK at the moment. We would love this to continue but I fear like we said we will be priced out of TTR :flaguk:
From what we have heard from our UK friends TTR is a steal of a deal in comparison to what us Canadians and Americans pay. I'd guess those deals from the UK will continue but a bit pricier and probably way better than what we will get.
I AGREE WE ARE DOING TRIP 29 IN SEPT AND WILL BE BACK:huepfen021: EVEN IF IF COSTS MORE MAYBE NOT 2 OR 3 TIMES A YEAR BUT WE WILL BE BACK:huepfen021:
So, not sure if anyone has thought to check... but as of today, you can book a "Trendy Ocean View" room (which is not the lowest category) for 7 nights in November 2017 for just under $300/night. This is only a minor price increase (just under 20%) from what you would pay right now, booking through the website, for one last hoorah at the old TTR.
There is a soft opening which generally means the resort is open but not everything is ready so prices will be lower for a buffer.. period Sent from my SM-G870W using Tapatalk
I don't remember the name of the resort, but a few days ago I was reading a report about a resort that a couple of TTR folks went to to test out as place to go during renovations. They loved everything about it (beach, food, buildings, etc) except the guests. The entertainment was good and they were trying to make a party atmosphere and they allow you to be topless, but no one was. Seems to me that if we were to get enough Cancuncare folks to go to a resort like this, it could be converted into a version of TTR.
