It's not new it's been here years. Yes, it's a lapdancing place with 'optional extras'. Be careful if you go there, there's a good chance you'll get ripped off. On the main walkway outside there will be guys trying to encourage you to go in, they will tell you the cover is $15 or $20. They are lying it is free, the cover charge they ask you for is their commission.
Last I heard it's likely to be a bunch of cheap restaurants and tacky gift shops. The beach there is very popular with locals and I think they're trying to open it up more for them (us?!). I doubt if another club will open there, with La Boom also being closed the clubs are concentrating in the party zone. Look out for The City to either close down or be taken over soon.

really? wow that would surprise me if they closed down. The City is one of their biggest spots for everything. They might want to think about relocating before closing down all together. That would be a HUGE loss
The owner (from the US) was arrested a few weeks ago in the States on charges of 450 million dollar fraud, he's wanted in 27 states and looking at 40 years if convicted. Not sure if he can have his Mexican assets taken but likely to be changes ahead.
