I also don't particularly like them but recognise Steve has to pay the bills somehow.

to be honest, i wont post less because of it, but like everyone else says its kind of a distraction and sort of ruins the posts (just my opinion, if you're making some money off of Google, then by all means Steve, keep it going)

I guess the good news is people will get use to them and they blend into the automatic signature of the first post.

The bad news is that they will blend into the signature of the first post. I know I don't read them anymore, which means no click throughs...

I just skim over them to get to the next post but haven't once even remotely thought about clicking on one.
