One thing for newbies to consider: Have you noticed how many "repeaters" there are at TTR? Just sayin'.... just sayin'....
John's right--we wouldn't come back if we weren't having a blast every time. I think we all worried about the same things you are before our first trips, so you'll find that people will go out of our way to answer your questions, put your worries to rest, and make sure you have a great experience.
our first trip was labor day week 2012,like you we had our share of question about TTR and what to expect while there. all i can say is this.on our first trip we put our toe in to test the waters,we had concerns about our ages being in the upper 40's. that didnt last long as we felt and partied like we was back in our 20's.as for being skinny and hot. well i can honestly tell you that we met people of all shapes and sizes, its the great personalities of the people you will meet that you will notice and not just the looks. as for the pool games lmfao, a blast to watch.this place is very addictive! we wasnt even home a week befor we started looking into bookin for our next trip, our second trip will be 4-13-20/13 and our 3rd will be 9-1-8/13 needless to say we will be diving right in this time around.this site is great, take full advantage of it and get to know the people who will be there around the same time as you, that way you will already have friends when you arrive a win win situation.
We are newbies too, and I think the best thing to do is talk to your partner\group about how you feel, what your limits are etc. This way your on the same page. Its all about the attitudes you bring, the personalities of the people that are there at the time you are there. This site gives you opportunities to talk to lots of people before you go, get to know them as best you can. We are also in our upper thirties and are open to any conversations any time.
I have another question though. What do theme nights mean? Is this how people dress up for dinner? To the club? Does everyone generally participate? Am I annoying yet?
Theme Nights are done in the evening! They take place at the O'Paty Bar! U can dress up for the night but it is not required! But it is FUN!!
Hi, we are getting ready to go to TTR for the first time. Do you guys have any advice on theme nights? We are going from Jan 2nd - 6th. What is the attire? What should we pack? Thanks for any advice. We can't wait.
Hi, there's plenty of talk on here about the various theme nights. Some nights you can get away with one outfit the whole night eg White Night = sexy white dress maybe which can be worn for dinner and at Paty Os, white trousers/ shirt for your man (but avoid throwing sweet n sour sauce all over yourselves like hubby did!) Other nights may require costume change, eg Thursday night, sexy/elegant for dinner, change to lingerie (boxers for him, as daring as you wish for her) for Casino night, then another quick change for clubbing gear for Cocobongo (ah what a night that was......). My advice for her - pack plenty, just make sure it's all small :wink3:
Hi guys. We will be down there the same time as you, and yes, we are repeat offenders. This will be out third time and we can't wait to meet up with friends from past trips and make alot more friends this trip. Just expect this to be your best vacation ever!
