Just got back March 28th with my 15 yr old son...This is my 4rth trip to Cancun and I felt safe each time. I didn't notice anything different on this last trip..I too had concerns about violence but with the help of the friendly people on this board and some careful research I felt much better. YES everyone was concerned about us going and I was getting tired of explaining myself. I felt Jamacia was scary compared to Cancun but no one even warned me about that place. There are places in Detroit that are scary but that doesn't stop me from going downtown for a game or gambling..its all common sense...doing what you would normally do. You will all be fine, you WILL have a safe, fun, great trip! No worries!

President Obama values each and every invitation he receives. However, the volume of inquiries is such that the majority of them must be declined.
