Oh what a day. Grabbed some lunch with a friend. Had a spot on the curb, where we could walk right into the restaurant. Watched the clouds get darker and darker while we ate faster and faster. All of a sudden we had to jump up and move two tables more into the place as the rain was blowing all over us. Waited and waited but the longer we waited the deeper the water got, until if was over the sidewalk and about 4" deep. Got ready to make a run for it but every time a car went by it created a wave. A bus created a wave you could surf on. Rolled up my pants and glad I had on my junker tennies. My friend had sandals in her purse, who knows why. I "dove" right in on the passenger side and slammed the door behind me. Hoisted my 6'3" aross the console and got to my side. She got herself in then and off we went, driving through about 20 places where the water was over a foot deep. I loved every moment. Every day can be an adventure. Just wish we had some sand beneath us and less rock so that the water had a place to drain.
TJ: Oh, I love rain, but when its been like this for this long, I kind of get over it all. Its like pizza: Love it, but if Id eat it daily, Im sure Id be over that in 3 days.
